The Game Plan

"Are you coming to the party?" A guy on the team asked after we won.

I laughed and accepted his high fived, but said no to the party.

"I'm exhausted. I might just head home." I said.

"We are coming then." I heard a voice behind me.

Matt, Luke, and Kenz were all standing there.

"Thank you." I said, hugging Kenz.

"Listen, no matter what I want you to remember that people love and support you." She said, hugging me tightly.

"I know."

"Even the opposing team." Matt said, a smile on his face.

I pulled back from the hug and turned around to see Nick standing there with his hands in his pockets.

"Surprise." He said, smiling at me.

"This is Cam, Sean, and Ty." He said, pointing to the other Fort Worth guys he brought with him.

"Hi." I smiled and shook their hands.

"Impressive game." One of them said with a smile.

"Yeah, you have a killer arm." Another added.

"But she can also run the ball, which is just as important." The first one added.

"Ignore them, they can argue for hours." Matt said with a laugh.

"So what did I hear about going back to your place?" He asked.

"Apparently you're coming over." I laughed.

"Of course you all are. I will order the pizza now." My mom announced, coming over to hug me.

"And apparently we're getting pizza." I said.

"Go change. We will meet you at home." My mom said, and my dad have me a hug.

"I will meet you in the parking lot." Nick said with a smile.

I walked back to the locker room with Matt and Luke so we could shower and change.

"Do you guys ever wish you had a guy for a quarterback?" I asked.

I had never asked them that question before.

"No." Matt said without hesitation.

"Yeah. It would be too strange without you." Luke said.

"I would never trade you guys either." I said.

"Plus, your mom gets us pizza!" He said.

"I will make sure to tell her thanks." I said with a laugh, walking into the locker room to shower and change.

Once we showered, we walked out to the parking lot and met up with Kenz and Nick.

"Can we play the dime game?" Luke asked, rubbing a towel on his wet hair.

"What's the dime game?" Nick asked.

"One person hides a dime and everyone else looks for it." Matt explained.

"It sounds really lame but I swear its actually really fun." I promised, walking to my car.

"So just meet at my house." I said, opening the driver's side door.

Everyone else got into their own cars and we drove back to my house.

"You looked so handsome baby!" I cooed at Brady when I walked through the garage door. Everyone else followed me inside, but the guys made a beeline to the pizza waiting in the kitchen.
