(THIRTY TWO)

There was a knock at the door as Harvey struggled to get her white high tops on without showing certain things. Julie huffed and answered the door, to see Adam smiling like a dork.

"Where is she?" Harvey quickly tied her laces and walked over to the door in her light blue dress. "Woah." No one besides Luis had really seen Harvey in a dress, and she was beautiful. Harvey smiled when she saw Adam in his almost matching button up. The two walked down the hall hand in hand as Julie made her way to Dwayne, Kenny, and Luis' room to get them. "You look beautiful." Harvey squeezed his hand a little bit tighter as they walked towards the varsity locker room to meet with Scooter cause he was their ride.

"You look handsome." He blushed as he kissed the top of her head and threw an arm over her shoulder. Harvey interlocked with her hand with the one on her shoulder and leaned closer to Adam. "Did you match with me on purpose or was this a perfect accident?" Adam smirked a bit and whispered in her ear.

"I asked Julie what color you were wearing." She giggled as Scooter saw them, smiling at them, he grabbed his keys and led them to the car. "So Scoot, did anyone else need a ride?" Scooter looked behind him at the two kids and shook his head.

"No, but get in. If we don't hurry, we're going to be late." The three of them got in the car and made their way to the dinner, where boys were already pulling into their parking. "Okay, get out." The three got out and made their way inside as everyone else did. Harvey and Adam saw their friends in nice clothes as the two walked in. This was going to be a nice night, and the two teams would get along for once.

"You look pretty, hermana." She smiled at her brother and thanked him as she sat in between him and Adam. The two had their hands linked together as they all talked and laughed and ate. Their attention turned to Rick as he stood up, clinking his fork against his cup.

"Oh behalf of the Eden Hall Warrior Varsity State Champion hockey team, I'd like to welcome the future state champs, the Eden hall freshman. Here, here." The varsity team, Harvey, and Adam raised their glasses and looked at their friends with a smile. "We're just glad you loaned us Banksie and the little firecracker, Harvey so that we'd have a chance to beat you guys in the annual freshman-varsity showdown." Adam looked down at the two's hands as Harvey squeezed his, reassuring him that they would be fine. "Now, nobody move. We've got one last surprise. Fellas?" Harvey and Adam sat there as the older guys got up. "Banksie, Harv." The two looked at each other and got up. Before Harvey went to follow after the boys, she put her hand in her brother's and whispered in his ear.

"Don't let anyone on Varsity know you have that. We didn't know about this until we got here. We're sorry." She pulled away from him and jogged towards the kitchen where the boys were going to get the "surprise." Harvey found Adam as he was walking out towards Scooter's car. "Banksie, wait up." Adam turned towards her and sighed. He felt bad for what they were doing, and he didn't know Harvey had taken Scooter's wallet from his front seat. "What's up?" She grabbed both of his hands as they both stopped at Scooter's car, waiting for him to get there.

"You don't feel bad, for doing this to them?" Harvey squeezed his hands and pulled him closer to him so only he could hear what she said.

"I may have given them Scooter's credit card before we left." Adam smiled at his girlfriend and rolled his eyes playfully, pushing a piece of her hair behind her ear as Scooter unlocked the doors. "What?"

"I don't know what I'm gonna do with you, Mendoza. You wanna stay in my room or yours?" The girl looked at the boy for a second before wrapping her arms around his torso and laying her head on his shoulder.

"Yours."

It was around ten o'clock when Harvey heard a lot of footsteps outside of Adam's room. She got out of Adam's grip and got off of his bed, leaving her sleeping boyfriend there. She threw a pair of sweats on and her shoes as she made her way out to the hallway. She saw her brother and all of her friends in all black walking around quietly with ropes and pipes.

"You know, if you don't wanna get caught, at least be quiet." All of them turned their flashlights towards her, almost blinding her. "Hey, what the hell?" She held her hands up, blocking the lights. "If you plan on doing anything, can you not do Adam's room please. I'm sleeping in there tonight." Luis looked at all of his friends with pleading eyes.

"You're on varsity, just like all of them, Mendoza." Dwayne's jaw dropped as Harvey rolled her eyes and walked back into the room.

"Dude, what the hell?" Charlie looked at him as if he were crazy for not agreeing with him. "Charlie, man. How do you think we got out of the restaurant so fast?"

"We used your credit card, and like I said, we'll pay you back." He pointed to the whole team as all of his friends nodded.

"No, Harvey took Scooter's card to save our asses, again." Just as Charlie realized how rude he was being, Harvey and a very tired looking Adam walked out of his room. "I'm getting deja vu." She smiled to her brother as her hand intertwined with Adams.

"If you guys are going to do anything to Adam's room, then we'll sleep in my room. So boys, have fun doing whatever your doing to Julie's room. Cause last I checked, she was on your team, and Ducks don't turn on each other."
