*Alexa's POV*

When my parents, uncle, aunt and cousins were back from their trip, we constantly went out to eat and explored the beaches.

I tried to spend time with my brothers and cousins as much as I could. Soon we had packed our bags and took the flight back home.

It was the first day back to school and I was so excited to tell my best friends about my Summer. We couldn't talk over Summer because one of them were online during the holidays and we had a huge time difference.

Louis was so kind and encouraging, he had talk to me at night till I had fallen asleep, and even said 'Good Luck.'

On the other hand, my parents were making me feel that it was a new start for me in life which just made me more nervous.

I said goodbye to my dad and greeted my teachers, immediately spotting Iris. We had been best friends for seven years.

Iris had black, rib-length hair and beautiful dark brown eyes. I waved to her and called out her name.

She turned to me and smiled,"Oh hey Lexi, how was your holiday?"

You see, this is the thing I missed in friendship. It was this kind of bond none of my best friends and I didn't have, which Cherry and I had.

I would always get jealous of the people who had best friends who they could hug, talk to, tell secrets and act weird.

Smiling back, I carried on the conversation as well walked to our Form room,"It was awesome! I'll tell you all about it at breaktime with Emma and Clara. How was yours?"

She shrugged,"Not much, I spent most of my time watching Anime, I visited some relatives... And yeah."

I slowly nodded as an awkward silence took over. So instead, I looked around to see if I could spot Emma and Clara, but there were nowhere to be seen.

We climbed up the stairs to the second storey. I smiled and waved at Clara as she came to view. Once we were close enough, she said 'Hi.'

Clara had light brown hair with sky blue eyes.

"Where's Emma?" I asked the both of them.

They shrugged and Clara replied,"I guess she's going to be late as usual."

I nodded and Clara started talking about an inappropriate book. They still didn't know that I was already ruined because of Wattpad. In fact, to everyone in my year, they thought I had the most innocent mind.

And that goes to my wonderful acting skills, it's like I had a whole other side of me.

After a few minutes of waiting, the bell has rang, and just at the same time Emma was seen. I quickly greeted her before walking into my form room.

*

I had just finished half of the day of school, I was with Iris and we were walking together to where Emma, Clara her and I would usually sit for break.

I couldn't hold my excitement in, not anymore. "Sooo," I began," I have an pine best friend."

"Oh cool," She replied. "Do your parents know about it?"

I shook my head 'no.'

"What?" She exclaimed,"Alexa! You could be talking to an old man!"

I sighed. She didn't trust me did she. "Look, I know that she isn't an old man. I'be checked. I trust her fully."

"But this is dangerous!"

I didn't reply to her for a bit of time. "I just wanted to tell you, and I'll start doing it more often because we're best friends and we should know everything about each other."

"Everyone has their own secrets, we don't have to share them, though," she said.

At this point we were on our usual spot where Emma was waiting for us. We were arguing in front of her and she had no clue about what we were on about.

"What's going on?" Emma asked.

"Well, Lexi has an online best friend who knows where she lives, which is very dangerous," Iris explained.

I sighed, this was getting no where. "Look," I said,"She doesn't know where exactly I live, and I trust her fully-"

"Calm down people!" Clara exclaimed, joining us.

I didn't say anything except take out my food.

"We're best friends.. Right?" I asked after some time.

"Uhm...."

"Err..."

"We're best friends? I don't know what we are.."

Damn. What was I supposed to feel? Cherry left me and now I find out I don't even have best friends.

"I-," I stuttered a bit, still in shock,"I'll be back, um, I just need to use the, uh- restroom."

They nodded and shrugged. I quickly packed my food, sling my bag on my shoulder and quickly walked away. I needed privacy.

As I walked through the corridor, I heard my name being called by a male voice which I recognized immediately.

"Alexa!" Josh called out. Josh was one of my classmates, he had brown hair, and green eyes that shined in the sun, there was always a hat hanging on his bag which - I guessed - was his style. Next to him was his best friend Aiden, who was slightly shorter. He had a similar hair color, but lighter then Josh. Then were his blue eyes.

A stranger, yet so familiar, walked with them. "Here she is," Aiden said to the girl.

There was something about her, like I had seen her before.

"Alexa?" She asked, now standing a few feet in front of me, standing on the middle of Josh and Aiden.

Her voice...

"Cherry?" I whispered. Her smile was enough to confirm it. I smiled as the both of us ran up to each other and hugged.

Tears spilled out of my eyes, happy that she was okay. Happy that I hadn't lost her forever. Happy that I hadn't lost someone yet again.

We stayed like that for a long time, Josh and Aiden stood their awkwardly, hands in their pockets, but I didn't care.

I pulled out from the hug and wiped my flowing tears. "You're okay," I whispered,"I got so worried that you left me."

Tears formed in her eyes as well,"I'm so sorry I couldn't tell you. My parents took away all my devices and that I was to spend the holidays studying. I would never leave you, remember that."

I nodded, smiling softly at her. It was so good to finally meet her in real life.

"Anyways, enough of all this," She said swinging her arm over my shoulder,"This school is huge, I really need someone to show me around. Aaannndd, I'm sure your holiday was better than mine, spill!"
