"So how do you it's not your bullet?" I asked. "I can't see any difference."
T and I were driving away from the crime scene. As soon as he saw the bullet, he wanted to leave immediately. And he was very serious. More serious than I've ever seen him. It was actually kind of scary. So I finished what I needed to do on the crime scene and left to go to Gabos' office.
"The T was too curved," T snapped. "The Ts in my bullets are sharp and pointed. If they wanted to frame me, they should have tried harder. Besides I've been with you pretty much all day. I wouldn't have had time to shoot those kids and make it back to the station in time."
"I guess that's true," I muttered.
"We're going to the office like I asked, right?" T asked.
"Yeah, it takes time getting to the Eastside, though," I said.
"Good. NJ needs to know about this immediately," T said.
///
"T is here," a man said as T and I entered.
"I thought he wasn't supposed to be back for a while," another man whispered.
"Look it's the Boss's lady," a third man whispered.
"T! What are you doing here?" JJ made his way over to us. I stared at him in shock as he walked over. He wasn't wearing his usual suit that I've grown accustomed to him wearing. He wore a black leather jacket, black jeans with a hole in the knee, and a black t-shirt.
"Ana and I need to talk to NJ, immediately," T said.
"What's going on?" JJ asked. "Did something happen on a case?"
"Yes," T said. "Is NJ in his office?"
"Yeah he is," JJ said. "Should I get the others as well?"
"Who all is here?" T asked.
"Just Prince and Ghost."
"Might as well. It'll be easier telling everyone at once then having it being told mouth to ear," T said.
"Okay," JJ turned to the men staring at us. "You all get those weapons in those crates and get them loaded up. Pericolo expects them tonight and I don't want them to wait long like they did last time."
"Yes, sir," they all said at once.
T and I made our way upstairs with JJ. JJ turned the other way to get Prince and Ghost while T and I went straight to Jihwan's office.
T knocked on the door and didn't receive an answer. He knocked again, louder. He still didn't get an answer. Prince, Ghost, and JJ made their way to us.
"He not answering?" Ghost asked.
"Ana, walk in," Prince told me.
"Why do I have to?" I asked. Why didn't anyone else open the door.
"Because he won't get mad at you for coming in without his permission," Prince said.
I rolled my eyes. These guys were so terrified of Jihwan that I had to do this. I knocked on the door and entered right after, unafraid of what he would do.
"What the f*** do you think you're doing coming-" He stopped yelling when he saw me come in.
"We knocked," I said.
"Ana, what are you-"
"Yeah, a beautiful reunion," T snapped as he pushed his way past me. He walked straight up to Jihwan's desk and threw the evidence bag containing the bullet in front of him.
