"Ana, we're going to be late!" Jihwan called out.
I was in the bathroom trying to hurriedly curl my hair without burning it. Jihwan was already ready, his suit was on, his tie tied perfectly, and his hair done up just right. Meanwhile, I had to do my hair and makeup. And if I've said it once, I've said it a million times, I can't put on makeup.
I messed up so much, that it put me behind schedule. By about an hour. I was supposed to be done thirty minutes ago.
"I know Jihwan. Give me five seconds," I called back. I grabbed the bottle of hairspray and sprayed all over my head, finally finished.
"Well I'm not the one driving. Nor is it my brother's wedding," Jihwan said sarcastically.
"You know, you could get a driver's license," I said as I put all my things away. "That way I could do my makeup in the car."
"Do you want to keep world peace? Trust me, it'll be better if I don't get behind a wheel of a metal death machine," Jihwan said.
I stepped out of the bathroom into Jihwan's bedroom. He was standing next to the door holding my clutch and the wedding present. He wore a black suit with a crisp white shirt and maroon bow tie, handsome as always.
When he caught sight of me, his eyes grew in size. He didn't say anything, which made me nervous. Did I look bad? Was it too much? Did it look trashy?
"Is it that bad?" I asked pulling on the skirt of my dress. It was maroon chiffon with a sweetheart neckline and off the shoulder straps. I also wore a rose gold necklace and my clutch and shoes were the same color.
"No - it's just. You look - you're beautiful, Ana," Jihwan stuttered.
I couldn't stop the blush come from my face. "Thanks, Jihwan. But we have to go. I have to help get everything ready before the ceremony."
"I know, but-" Jihwan moved across the room and wrapped his arms around me. He brought me into his chest before leaning down.
When I realized he was trying to kiss me, I quickly backed away from him. I couldn't mess up my makeup when it took me so long to do it.
"Sorry, this makeup took me over an hour to do. I don't want to mess it up," I apologized.
"Messing up a little lipstick won't hurt, right?" Jihwan asked.
"I'll kiss you after pictures are done, alright?" I promised.
"I'll hold you to that," Jihwan laughed.
"We have to go, we're already late," I said.
"Right, let's go," Jihwan said.

Jihwan and I arrived at the venue fifteen minutes after we were supposed to be there. It was an old church building that was no longer used for services that was renovated for weddings. Upstairs was the area for the grooms (or brides) to get ready.
I rushed upstairs to meet with Lance and his groomsmen while Jihwan stayed downstairs with the wedding planner. I rushed into the suite to see him putting on his white suit jacket.
The groomsmen had on maroon dress shirts and rose gold bow ties. I was the only female in his group, but I didn't mind.
"Anastasia, you're late," Lance's best man said as soon as he saw me. He walked up to me with his arms crossed.
"I'm sorry, but I'm just really bad at makeup and had to start over a lot," I said. I moved past him to hug my brother.
"At least you're here now, Ana," EG said from his seat in the corner.
