"Have you talked to EG about getting together to talk?" Jihwan asked over the phone.
I got home from work and started to make dinner for myself. Jihwan called and told me he wasn't coming over since he had some stuff to at the office. But that didn't mean we still couldn't talk while he wasn't busy.
"Not yet. I was going to talk to him after I hang up with you," I said and stirred the pot of noodles on the stove.
"Well Zhanshi said that they can meet tomorrow. So if you can find a time tomorrow to talk to EG, we can set up a meeting for the same time," Jihwan said.
"I'll see what I can do," I promised. "When are you free to come over?"
"Miss me already?" Jihwan murmured sexily into the phone. I rolled my eyes. Two can play at that game.
"I miss one part of you," I giggled as cutely as possible.
"It's my dimples isn't it?"
"You know me so well."
"Well, I'd better. It'll be hard to love someone without knowing anything about them."
"That's true. I wish I could give you a kiss, right now."
"I wish you would do more right now."
"How busy are you at the office that you're imagining me naked?"
"Pericolo has been doing some work for us while we lay a bit low. And some of my men have been having troubles with their men. We're just trying to figure out what's happening. And it seems like no one wants to tell the truth. So Romeo is in the middle of trying to get the truth from his men. And JJ is getting the truth from our men."
"I'm sorry, Handsome. I wish you didn't have to deal with all this drama. Having to deal with your own organization is more than enough."
"I wish I could run my mafia without any restrictions or laws. It would be so much easier to make money. And I wouldn't have to deal with any other criminals."
"I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that."
Jihwan laughed. It was talks like these that made me feel so in love with him. Even if we were so different, we were still so compatible. Every moment I spent with him was something out a movie.
"Prince needs me downstairs," Jihwan said with a sigh. "Text me when you find a time to meet with EG."
"I will, Jihwan. I talk to you later," I said.
"I love you, Little Detective," Jihwan said.
"I love - I love you - I love you too," I stuttered.
"I like hearing you say that. I'll see you later," Jihwan said.
After we both hung up, I finished making my dinner. I ate with Murphy begging for food at my side. After I finished, I cleaned the kitchen.
I then got my phone to call EG. He picked up after a few rings.
"Hello?" EG answered his phone.
"Hey, EG. How are you?" I asked.
"Surprised. I didn't expect to have you call me anytime soon," EG said.
"Well there's something really important I want to talk to you about. Can we talk tomorrow?"
"I guess. Why can't we just talk on the phone?"
"I just feel like this is something we should talk about in person," I said.
"I'm getting worried, Ana," EG told me. "Jihwan didn't propose did he? Dad would do cartwheels if that's true."
