Wynter's POV
I don't know how much time passes as I hug my brother's dead body on the sandy, hard floor. I can't get the courage to close his eyes. Every time I do, I break down again and start all over again from the moment those evil men left. I loved my brother like no one else in this world. He was my rock.
No.
He still IS my rock. His memory will live with me forever.
I look into his lifeless eyes which are still looking back up at me. The memories, that happened only moments ago, resurface and I push them away, like I do with the knot in my throat. My hand shakes as I lift it, closing my brothers eyes and resting my forehead on his.
"Goodbye Ally. I will never, ever forget you" I put my lips onto his cold forehead and cherish this moment.
I run back around the compound, into the gas station to look for any phones, but they smashed the only one that was available. It's when I look at the beverages that I remember take notice dry my throat is. I go to open the door and grab the first water bottle that I can see. I think of eating something when my stomach growls, but the murders are still fresh on my mind.
I would throw it all up anyway.
Where is Stella?
I go round back to the storage room but I can't find her. I go to the freezer and look for her in one of the 'container room'. I don't find her, in any sense, what was I thinking? That I would find her in there.
There's one place that I haven't thought of. I head out of the station around the back to the bathroom. My hand clamps around the brass handle. I prepare for the worst, but hope for the best. I let out a shuddering breath as I open the door.
The bathroom is empty, the tap dripping water every now and then, the toilet paper on the floor next to the toilet, unused.
I am all alone.
A truck pulls up and that's when I remember the car that was about 45 minutes away. That's when I send a short prayer to God, hoping that this man will let me use his phone.
The big, white truck pulls into the station as I catch the company name 'Industrial Features' written on the side, next to the logo. I wail my arms at the man inside as I hope that he can see my distress.
Once the man gets out, I walk to his side and tell him my current situation, trying my best not to scare him away with the gruesome details. I stop speaking when I notice that he doesn't seem to care. I notice the same perverted look that the monster, who killed my brother, was looking at me with. I start to run away from him but a heavy body throws itself onto mine.
An estimation of 130 kilograms is thrown right on top of me. My breath is sucked right out of my body. I try to calm my mind from going into a state of panic, taking in as much air as possible when he lifts me up by my hair. I did the same thing I did I while ago, I form my right hand into a fist - behind my back, and punch him in the throat.
My scalp feels like its on fire when he lets it go, and I try to run to store. Stella keeps a gun behind the counter for emergencies, so that's the only thing can save me. I swear my day only gets shittier as he throws himself on top of me - again, this time as I'm at the entrance of the store.
At this point, my front is on fire, my cheek stings and my scalp is sore. He turns me around to lay on my back. You can add my wrists to the list as he painfully grabs them in his hands.
"You're a feisty one, aren't cha?" he says with a country accent. Well, an ugly voice to match an even uglier face and a bald head.
"Fuck you, you demon" I want to cry at how painfully he's holding my wrists.
