Hiccup woke up with a headache and sore throat, and immediately knew he must've caught something. He felt it come on last night, but wasn't sure. It had to be the flu or a cold maybe.

Hiccup sat up in his bed, and put his hand on his head with his pounding headache getting worse. "Oh gods..."

He realized his voice sounded hoarse. No, no, it couldn't be hoarse. The others will find out, and hence not letting him out and flying Toothless to practice mission runs for Viggo!

Well, at least Astrid wouldn't. His girlfriend was a tough woman, hardly sentimental at all, but as his girlfriend she made sure he doesn't get in scrapes and made sure he wasn't acting irresponsibly.

Hiccup coughed and felt his stomach spinning. He didn't feel too good.

"Hey...uh... Toothless?" Hiccup called groggily.

The dragon rushes up and soon knew something was wrong with his rider. His face looked pale and he had night sweats on.

"Help-" Gods, his voice was hoarse- "help me up."

Hiccup put his hands on the dragon, and they walked across the room. But as he did, Hiccup's mind flew here to there, and all over the place as he began getting dizzy. So dizzy in fact he felt his dinner from last night.

"Oh goodness," he muttered as he felt it coming.

It came. Hiccup stumbled on his hands and knees on the floor as he puked out his guts. After a moment, as he couldn't throw up anymore and felt a little better, he thrust his hand onto Toothless and mounted up. As he did, he felt a little woozy again, but ignored it.

"Okay, Toothless," Hiccup began, and coughed before continuing, "today we are somehow going to train for a future attack mission on Viggo."

As the two made it outside, and made it slowly down the path to the clubhouse, a blonde headed viking met them on the way.

"Hi Hiccup!" she greeted. It was Astrid.

'Oh gods, do I have to speak? She can't know I'm sick. I literally sound like a frog with this cold,' Hiccup panicked.

Hiccup nodded and tried to move past, leaving her there to ponder what was up with him.

"Hey Hiccup!" she asked, as she followed him. "Wanna go flying?!"

Hiccup swallowed. He knew if he flew, it was possible she would find out he was sick, in front of her. Or, he would have to reveal his froggy voice.

He shook his head, but as he did, he felt dizziness come onto him, therefore leaving his stomach to get queasy again. "No."

At his pale, ghost-like face, and hoarse voice, Astrid asked worriedly "Hiccup you okay? Are you sick?" She checked his temperature.

"You're hot!"

At this, Hiccup felt it come and threw up on the ground. "So-sorry."

She sighed. "Let's... lets get you to your room."

The dragons accompanied her in escorting the weak, young Viking to his room, where he was put back in his bed.

"Astrid-" Hiccup got cut off by coughing- " I'm fine. It was just a spell. We need-" cough-" we need to train for the dragon hunters."

"No, you're too sick. You threw up on me, remember? You should stay in bed today."

Hiccup was too sick to argue. He laid his head on his pillow and surrendered. "Fine. You win."
