Hunters

"Where's Hiccup?" Astrid asked as she sat down at the clubhouse table, which was full with breakfast that Heather made. Everyone but Hiccup was sitting and eating. 

"He's on his morning flight, right?" Heather assumed. 

"Yeah, but he should be back by now," Astrid said, a little concerned. 

"Yeah, but you know him and Toothless..soaring in the sky for the freedom of getting away from everything else. Time could pass more quickly than you expected." 

"Yeah, suppose so. Just me and him had an agenda to do today," Astrid explained. 

"Oh, what's that?" Fishlegs butted in.

"Stoick requested us to visit Berk. He had something to ask him and I was going to tag along with him."

Tuffnut went closer to Fishleg's ear. "You sure they're not dating?" 

"What? Shut up, they're friends. They said so, and I believe it," Fishlegs explained. Although, on the inside, he knew that was way from the truth, but, he only said so to keep his friends safe from the sake of gossiping.

Hiccup was flying with Toothless in the breeze, on a nice, morning flight. "Hey bud, what do you think of going back to the clubhouse?" Hiccup pat Toothless side. He growled but flew on the path toward the clubhouse. 

On the way, however, Hiccup spotted something unusual. "That's odd. I didn't see that earlier." Hiccup took out his spyglass and looked toward the ocean, only to see about five ships almost hiding behind a sea-stack. The flag was of the Dragon Hunters. 

"What? Dragon Hunters on the Edge? What are they doing here?" Hiccup flew closer to the sea-stack to see what they were up to. He dismounted, and looked over the edge to see the ship. He put his spyglass up as Toothless walked up next to him.

"Hmm, where's the captain? Looks like the hunters are preparing for something."

The hunters were pulling ropes that looked like it attached to a small transport. Hiccup's eyes widened. They were coming on the island! But why? What did they want? Was it him they wanted?

"Come on, Toothless, let's go tell the others." 

Hiccup mounted up and flew away, but unfortunately, they didn't notice that the hunters spotted them. Once spotted, the hunters fired arrows at them. 

Hiccup looked back. "Oh no, we'e been spotted! Toothless, dodg-"

Hiccup was cut off as Toothless was pierced with an arrow in the leg. Toothless screeched and roared as he fell from the sky. "Toothless, calm! It's okay! Just...ahhhhhhh to the forest!" Hiccup maneuvered the fall toward the island in the woods, and to stay in the air as long as possible. 

As they reached over the forest, the two were screaming out of fear as a bunch of branches came scratching at their faces. Once they crash-landed, Hiccup slid away from Toothless from the impact and hit his head on a nearby rock and went unconscious. Toothless slumped down and moaned in his spot from the dragon root, not noticing his rider took an injury as he heard voices from the men coming on the island.

After breakfast, Astrid headed out to find Hiccup. "We need to get to Berk. The sooner the better," she told herself. 

After awhile of searching the skies, she looked down and noticed a few men in a forest clearing. "Wait-is someone else on the island?" she gasped. "Did something happen to Hiccup?!?"
