Today was the day Eijun would meet his teammates, it was been a week since he last saw his former teammates and he can't wait to see the look on miyuki and kuramochi's faces when he arrives at the Giant's.
He walked from the train station to the meeting place, he munched on a apple admiring his environment and seeing how much has changed while he was gone.
"Sawamura eijun??" A familiar voice called out to him from behind, sawamura twitched in irritation when he processed who that voiced belonged to
He mentally sighed and turned around to meet none other than the egoistic elsa, narumiya mei.
"Ah mei-san" Eijun said continuing to munch on his apple
"Dont 'ah mei-san' me! I can't believe you're here!!" He exclaimed
"Mei? What's goin-" Another familiar voice said from behind the blonde but stopped when he saw sawamura
"Ah Carlos-san" Eijun waved
"Dude where were you? You disappeared for years!" Narumiya Pointed at him
"Damn you're not yelling anymore, what happened?" Carlos smirked
"Great to see you two haven't changed at least" Eijun said continuing to eat his apple.
"Mei, Carlos the coach is calling yo-" Finally someone who eijun actually respects, sawamura threw his apple in the trashcan a few steps away
"Sanada san! How have you been?" Sawamura said with visibly sparkles in his eyes
"Sawamura eijun?" Sanada was still in shock at the sight of the brown-haired southpaw
"Answer my question!" Mei said
"Geez stop yelling, I was at America okay?" Eijun said with an irritated voice
"That's it?" Carlos asked
"I can say that same for you guys, aren't the tigers supposed to be training?" Sawamura hissed back
"We are, we have a training game with the Giants" Sanada answered
"Ah" Eijun simply said
Damn that coach, he was told he will be playing a practice game as his debut to the team but against these guys??
"Well then goodluck" Sawamura smirked before waving goodbye and walking away from the group
"Wait a second I forgot to ask if he's planning to join a team" Mei said
If he remembers correctly todoroki was also at the Giants, it should be interesting to see him against sanada.
He made his way to the office where the head coach and manager was waiting for him, sawamura sat on the seat offered to him.
"Thank you for accepting my offer sawamura-kun" He started
"Ah, thank you for even giving me the offer, I didn't have a plan after I finished my training" Eijun nervously laughed
"I was shocked when I heard news you simply vanished from the baseball community after you graduated, but I was even more surprised when I saw you in America" He smiled
Eijun laughed it off, the memories of his training coming back to him.
"Well then let's start with the contracts"
Once everything is confirmed and completed, the two shook hands and the manager took a picture to seal the contract.
He was also given his official jersey and attire for the game, and on top of that there's a cap with the word Giants at the front.
"I am aware of your current condition, there's a practice game this afternoon and I'm interested to see how our new recruit does, of course our main players will be meeting you right about now" He said and just like he said there was a knock on the door
"Excuse us, coach you called for u-" Miyuki walked it but once his eyes fell on sawamura he immediately stopped in his tracks, mouth agape and eyes wide
"Miyuki stop blocking the way" Kuramochi grunted pushing aside the catcher who was still in a daze
But once his eyes fell on to sawamura he was also frozen, they snapped out of it when they realized their manager was filming everything.
Kuramochi immediately jumped on him and placed sawamura in a headlock, the rest of the team flooded in the room and sawamura gave a smile and waved at todoroki who shyly waved back
"Sawamura eijun, graduated from Seido and trained in America for 5 years! I'll be in your care!" He bowed
There were a few whispers from the crowd but it went dead silent when the coach cleared his throat
"Sawamura eijun was in a battery with Miyuki in high school, they won nationals during his second year" He started "And per his request he will be our relief pitcher during most our games" He said
"Relief pitcher?" Kuramochi mumbled, miyuki was just as confused as the shortstop
For as long as miyuki has known sawamura he was always aimed for the top, then why is he just aiming to be the relief pitcher?
"But if the situation calls it he will adjust accordingly" The coach finished
Then the team was told to get lunch and start their warm ups on the field, miyuki has finally pieced together as to why the coach arranged an unnoficial game against the tigers when the season is nearing.
Once they were dismissed the team immediately gathered on saw a miracle and started asking questions about him.
He answered most of that he can and fortunately for him he was dragged out of the group by miyuki, kuramochi and todoroki.
"So this is your answer huh" Kuramochi said cracking his knuckles
"Sawamuraaaaaaaa!!!" Todoroki tackled him
"You almost made me shout in front of the coach earlier" Miyuki grunted
"Ehehe" Sawamura laughed nervously
Just then he got a notification on his cellphone, he opened it and checked it out.
And things are just gonna get chaotic from here on out, Mei tagged him at his tweet with a picture of them from earlier attached to it.
Considering mei's followers he mighbe in trouble, there is no doubt this news would be misunderstood.
"You met up with them?" Miyuki asked snatching away his phone
"Bumped into them on my way here" Sawamura answered
"Ah! It's sanada!" Todoroki pointed
"I can't wait to see the look on their faces" Miyuki grinned darkly
Sawamura was now contemplating on his life decisions, but something else lingered in his mind.
