I really want to write this as a novel. But I don't have enough ideas. So I may just write it as a two-shot.

I was waiting for the moment. All my friends were in my studio apartment, my parents and siblings were on the video call.

Everyone was excited, I was getting ready to blow the candles out of the cake that Denise's most current boy-toy brought.

"Your soulmate is going to be ugly, I just know it," my younger brother, Atticus, said through the videocall.

"Atti, be nice, it's your sister's birthday," my mom called.

"Just wait, when he turns 21, he won't get a soulmate mark because of how nasty he's been to you," my friend, Mia laughed.

"It'll do him some good," Felecia, my sister laughed.

"How are you feeling, Evie?" Colette, my eldest sister asked through the video call.

"I'm a bit nervous," I said honestly. "But I'm ready for my mark and to meet my soulmate."

"And we'll be helping her find her soulmate," Grace said.

I went to college in Michigan and my family, except Colette, lived in Washington state. Colette living in New York with her soulmate. I missed spending time with my family.

"One minute left, Eves! Someone light the candles!" my dad shouted.

Denise lit the candles and brought the cake and placed it in front of me. Then they started singing 'Happy Birthday'. I looked at my watch as they finished. As the time ticked to five seconds before the minute I was born I blew out the candles and my only thought was, I wish for my soulmate.

And as I blew out the candles, I felt a tingle on my thigh. It was big and almost covered my entire thigh. It almost hurt. I leaned back on the couch back and pressed down on my leg, trying to stop the pain.

"What is it?"

"Show us?"

"How much does it hurt?"

"Honey, show us the mark."

My friends and family's voices were far away even though we were in the same room. It was at this moment everything became real. I have a soulmate.

Once the tingling stopped, I looked around the room. The I rolled up my skirt to look at my thigh. My jaw dropped at what I saw.

"What is it?" I heard my mom asked.

"I bet it's a name," Jamison, my other brother said. "I'll pay money if it's not."

"Via, what is it?" another friend asked.

"Names," I whispered.

"A name?" my mom squealed.

"Congrats, Eva," Colette cheered.

"I knew it was a name!" Jamison cheered.

"It's multiple names," I said looking up.

"Multiple?" my dad yells. "I have to intimidate two boys?"

"Wow, that's incredibly rare," Grace said. "More to love."

"Imagine having two soulmates," a friend from class said. "That's going to be a lot of work."

"It's not two, and I know who they are," I whispered. Tears were starting to come to my eyes. "It's seven men. And they're the members of the Korean Idol group, BTS."

Everyone became silent.

I looked down at my leg, reading the names over and over. Names that I knew by heart. Names that all my friends and family knew because of how much I talked about them.
