Prince Seokjin was becoming King. It was time for his father to hand over the crown and the kingdom to him. He knelt in front of a priest as he droned on and on.

His younger brothers, Namjoon and Taehyung, were there to support him as the priest was there to crown him. He wore his best clothes for the ceremony, a pure black suit with a cloak wrapped around his shoulders. His hair was done perfectly, not a hair out of place.

He was glad to finally become King. But the only downside, he needed a queen. He did not want to marry just anyone. He wanted to marry the love of his life. A woman who was kind, passionate, charitable, and gorgeous. Yet she had to be submissive to him, someone who will not go against his word and will support everything he does as King.

It was impossible, in his mind, to have all the things he needed in a wife. So he never wanted to marry, save it for him needing an heir. Perhaps he could find a suitable woman to bear him a child before shooing her away from his life and the life of his son. That would be the last case scenario, if he couldn't find a suitable wife.

This is the reason why his parents were holding a celebratory ball after the coronation. One, to celebrate him as the new king. And two, to find him - and perhaps his brothers - a wife.

His brothers had much more simple versions of the kinds of wives they wanted. Taehyung wanted a woman who was beautiful inside and out. Namjoon wanted a woman with a brilliant mind, body didn't matter.

Seokjin didn't listen as the priest as he spoke the coronation speech that has been spoken at every coronation since the kingdom was founded. The same speech that Seokjin had heard multiple times a day since his father told him he was finally handing the kingdom over to him.

He just wanted to get this day over with so he could begin running his country.

"Do you, Crowned Prince Seokjin, swear to . . ." the priest asked as the prince pretended to listen.

Seokjin waited for him to finish his long list of things Seokjin would need to promise to do for his kingdom.

"I swear," Prince Seokjin said in a loud clear voice after the priest finished.

The priest nodded at the Prince's words. The priest reached over to the past King's head to take the crown off his head. He then moved to place the crown on the prince.

"With the power vested in me by the authority of God, I say, rise and go forth, King Seokjin," the priest said.

Seokjin rose from his kneeling position and turned to the entirely full church. The noblemen and family members clapped and cheered for their new king.

"Long Live the King!" they began to chant.

Seokjin didn't bother smiling at the crowd. He was supposed to be a King to these people, someone for them to support and agree with. But he knew that many of them were going to suck up to him to gain his attention for their own gain.

It was later that night at the celebration ball. Seokjin sat on his throne as woman after woman came up to his throne. Each woman was dressed in their finest clothes and jewels. Each woman had their hair and makeup done perfectly.

Seokjin would shoo each woman away with a flick of his hand. Many woman broke out into tears after barely a look from the new king. Other women huffed and pouted before going to the younger princes to try their luck with them.

Seokjin grew bored after many of the women had already introduced themselves or the others  had been too scared to introduce themselves.

Seokjin excused himself from the ball. He walked into the hallways of the castle to immerse himself in the quiet. He then walked into the servants hallways to get away. Once out of sight of the entrance, he leaned against the wall.
