EVANA'S P.O.V.

Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip.

Letting out a low whine, I tried to go back to sleep.

Drip. Drip. Drip.

Lifting my paw, layed it across my snout and nuzzled my head deeper into the soft grass.

Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip.

Giving up, I jumped up and growled childishly at the branch above me. I watched as a clear drop of morning moisture rolled down the green crisp leaf and onto the plush grass below.

Putting my front paws out in front of me, I pulled back and arched my back, stretching, with my tail high in the air. Letting go I glanced up at the tree above me and saw that my bag was still there.

Deciding to leave it there, I left the clearing and went deep in the forest, searching for a good hunt. Spotting a good kill, I pounced at the opportunity and had my breakfast.

After washing up in the creek, I went back to the clearing and sat out in the open. Looking around, I let out a wolfish sigh and started thinking. Let's admit it. I've only been out here for one day, and I'm bored.

Completley and utterly bored.

Getting up, I shifted and changed, throwing my cellphone into my pocket along with a water bottle, and decided to explore my new territory. Jogging into the trees, I walked in search of anything significant. I memorized everything and mentally mapped the whole area in my mind. If this was my land, I needed to know every tree, bush and blade of grass I owned.

As I grew deeper and deeper, I found new animal dens, berry bushes and a waterfall which could all come in handy at some point.

Soon I came by a cross between a pond and a lake. It was too big to be a pond, yet much to small to be a lake. With a laugh I decided to call it a plake. How all of these things were found on this five by five mile square, I don't know, but I wasn't complaining. This was a perfect start.

My curiosity perked as I saw painted wood poking out from behind the trees on the other side of he plake. Going over there, I carefully walked around the bend and I almost snapped my neck from the double take I did.

There in front of me was a huge three story house, but abandoned of course. The brick was in perfect shape, but the wooden porch was slowly rotting, yet repairable. The paint was chipping away from the walls and the shutters were slightly loose on their hinges.

The front door was carved beautifully, painted a dull and also chipping red. Vines crept up the side of the house, adding a natural feeling to the house. Apart from all the damages, the house was really nice.

Still in a state of awe, I put a foot on the first step and tested it to see if it would withstand my weight. After a few one-footed hops, I climbed up the rest and slowly walked to the door. Resting my hand on the bronze colored handle, I pushed down the lever and tried opening the door.
