After we got out of his room and went downstairs, I saw Kate standing in front of the main gate, giving us suspicious glances.

"What?" Alex asked as he went forward to open the door but was pushed away by her.

"Tell me everything" she growled.

"There's nothing" I shrugged.

"Quit it, Shay, we all know there is something" her eyes darted towards me.

"Yeah, ok, there is something," Alex said. I elbowed him roughly but, he dogged it. Kate raised an eyebrow so he continued.

"There is a pain in the ass who likes to kick in other's matters," he said.

"Jeez that was rude," I said, smacking his head at the back. "Apologise, now!"

"It's ok Shay, that's pretty common among us."

"Yeah, it's a sibling thing"

"Replying with rude comments? That so you" I chuckled and Kate eyed me dangerously.

"That was a joke!" I said.

"You better leave this on me," Alex said.

"Stop it, You two!" She yelled "now tell me what's fishy"

"The fish" Alex replied.

"Not funny" I rolled my eyes. Seriously that was the worst joke I have ever heard of. Ooh sorry, this doesn't even deserve to be called a joke.

"Spill the tea kids," Kate said in a hushed tone, growing irritated.

"Yes mom, but the cup is empty" Alex shrugged.

"Stop coming up with a witty comeback if you can't think of one, you are bad at this" I groaned.

"You two are not going to tell me huh?" She finally gave up.

"Nope," I said.

"Ok then, I have my ways to find this out." She smirked as she flexed her fingers. And I could swear that Alex looked horrified for a second but he composed his face as he saw me eyeing him and I briskly turned away.

"SHAY 1, 2 & 3 DASHI RUN RUN RUN" he screamed and just grabbed my hand and took me off guard but one thing's for sure at this situation also he is still a fanboy. Now we are out of the house and far because of running so much. we calmed down, I saw that Kate was no longer there and now we were roaming endlessly on the streets.

"Exams are approaching soon" I sighed, Changing the topic. I can't even think how horrible sibling fights would be, I haven't experienced one.

I turned to see Alex when I didn't hear any response.

"What are you thinking?" I said, placing a hand on his shoulder, squeezing it.

"I was just processing all this stuff inside my mind" he mused.

"Care to share?"

"Look, first, when we went on that isolated road, which was our biggest mistake. Then, we saw Christy and Andrea fighting. Then, you found that letter of Meldy. Then you met Robbin when you accidentally ran into Christy. He told you that you are his son. Then you met me. Then, in detention with Mr. Phil was you told that Christy is Meldy. He resigned the very next day and not to mention that Phil and Robbin were good friends. Then you got in a fight with Mike in the prom and got into cringe sappy moments with Anna. The next day you decided to apologize to Mike and his behavior was suspicious and after talking with me, you run into Robbin. Your mom told you that she was Meldy's sister but revealed no sign of your father. We met Phil and clarified the things and he got murdered before he gave me this diary and now, this diary cleared everything." He spoke

"Yeah, and most of the things were lie. Like Meldy being mom's sister, Robbin being my father, Christy having a mental disorder, and the fact that Christy is Meldy"

"I can't find any connections"

"Me neither"

"This is all so confusing" I groaned.

"And exams..." He paused

"Extra pressure" I mumbled grumpily.

"Would you like to study?" He frowned.

"We have to meet Christy" I reminded him.

"Yeah...but Biology is not one of your strengths right?"

"No"

"Then we should better study first. Whom do you think can help us the most with this"

"Anna?"

"Never mind, asking you was a bad idea"  he shook his head.

"Why, she is good at studying!" I frowned.

"Jeremy is the topper of science class, Anna comes after him."

"Okay then, Jeremy it is". He reached for his phone in his pocket and dialed a number which was probably Jeremy.

"Hey, Jem! You free?" He said after a few minutes. I failed to hear the other half and I didn't bother to listen to the whole conversation so, I fastened my pace and started walking. Reaching for my hood and hanging it on my head. I grabbed my phone and dialed a number but I was confused that should I call him or not but still I did it.

"Hey Mike"

"Hi Shay, I can't believe it's you! wassup?" He said in his sarcastic tone.

"Mike why are we fighting?" I said in a whisper because I was sad about all this.

"Because of you and now you are asking me," he said angrily.

"But Mike I just said that don't  talk rudely and you only got personal"

"It's not because of that..... And seriously Shay I don't want to talk to you now BYE"

"But Mi--" before I could complete my sentence he hung up.

I feel like crying he was my best friend still is but from one side but I know after somedays he will be the same Mike like he was I just need to give him some time.

"I heard ever--, hey Shay why are you crying? Don't cry don't stress like this he will be the same he was after some time" Alex said trying to comfort me.

"I know Alex that's what I thought," I said while he was wiping my tears.

"But why did you called him out of nowhere?"

"I was thinking for a while about calling him but I was hesitating and when you called him I thought he is back again but I was wrong because he was angry with you also bit he talked to you nicely and not me," I said smiling sadly.

"Shay whatever he is angry about now let him be now don't call him because you have tried much time and have apologized also and don't stress please I am here for you don't hesitate," Alex said smiling warmingly.

"Thank you, Alex," I said as I hugged him tightly, Mike also didn't understand me like him.

Later-

"Where is Jeremy?" I asked.

"He will meet us here" we entered and waited for him as we took a seat in the almost empty library. Alex went to bring some books from the shelves and I sat on the chair. My mind, wandering away.

But, as usual, I was snapped out of my thoughts when I felt someone's presence beside me.

"Hey" Jeremy smiled as I looked up.

"Hi Jeremy" I smiled back. Sliding my hood down and ruffling my hair.

"So, I see that you both haven't studied anything and now here you are, begging me to explain it," he said proudly patting his chest.

"Don't be so dramatic" I snarled. "It's Alex who hasn't studied yet, only revision is left for me"

"Still you summoned me, I'm flattered"

"Me too, now can we study now?" Alex said as he slammed a pile of books on the table.

After revising, we bid goodbye to Jeremy and started walking down the end of the road which led us into the dark, isolated street.
