A foreign girl in what, a different world?

"AAA!" I bolt upright, drenched in sweat, terrified from falling down that hole.

Where even am I? Ok, I'm in a cave, and everything looks, cartoony? Weird.

"Uh? Are you ok?" A voice asks, scaring me out of my mind. I whip my head around and sit up from where I was lying down to see a bald boy, with arrows? Who is he? He looks familiar somehow.

"Oh, sorry bout that." I apologise, staring at the boy, trying to figure out who he is.

"Who-" the boy starts to ask before getting interrupted by a large groan that makes me scream my head off. Again.

I stare at what it came from, a huge furry monster. Is that? No it can't be appa from atla can it? Bald tattooed boy, furry bison.
Holy crap I'm in the avatar world!

" I'm sorry to be rude but who are you?" The boy I recognise as Aang asks.

"Oh sorry didn't mean to be rude," I reply, turning round to face him. "I'm Ayana nice to meet you!"

"I'm Aang!" He says.

"Hey uh if you don't mind me asking how did you find me?" I ask cautiously.

"I found you by the seaside" he explains. "You were soaking wet and I couldn't leave you." He elaborates.

"Thanks for saving me!" I smile at him and watch as a blush crept on his cheeks.

"Oh you're welcome, if you don't mind me asking where are you from?" He asks me.

"I'm.. earth kingdom! I'm from.. yu dao!" I stutter out, hoping it's believable, luckily he believes it easily, phew.

"Ew Aang! You made me suck on a frozen frog!" I here someone behind me scream, presumably sokka if I remember right.

"Yuck! Yuck yuck yuck!" The other person, who I recognise to be katara exclames.

"Hey! Who are you?" She asked me suspiciously.

"Oh hi! I'm Ayana, Aang found me on the beach and saved my life, not sure how I got there though." I explain to the siblings.

"How do we know you're not fire nation?" Sokka asks me.

"I'm from the earth kingdom, no need to be so suspicious." I say

"I'm sure she's fine sokka." Katara says, pushing past her brother to get to me. "I'm katara nice to meet you Ayana." She says.

Now she is nice, she also happens to be one of my favourite characters.

"Nice to meet you too katara!" I reply.

Just then the storm stop and sokka strolls to appa saying " Yeah, yeah nice to meet you anyways we gotta be going now bye!"

"Oh ok bye.." I reply, saddened this is the last time I'll see them.

But just before they fly away I run after them. "Hey do you mind if I come along with you? I've got no where else to go."
Sokka looks at me skeptically but Aang thankfully welcomes me aboard.

I make my way over to appa and try to climb him. Hey, I said try! Falling over again for the third time in a row I hear Aang chuckle as he reaches a hand down to me to help me get up.
"Thanks!" I say as I use his hand to hoist myself up, finally making it.

"Alright, first time flier hold on!" Aang says to me, as I laugh.

"That's what you said to sokka and katara the first time you met them!" I exclaim with another laugh.

I pause as I see they are all looking over at me weirdly. "I-I mean, that must be what you said, considering you're a funny guy and all." I desperately try to explain whilst praying to god that they'll believe me. Thankfully, they do believe me and shrug it off. 

Phew, that was close, though I should tell them sometime soon. I want them to be able to trust me.

"Alright! Let's stop here for the night." Aang calls over to us as we start to land.

As fast as I can I hop off, almost collapsing to the ground before Aang catches me and I sigh.

"Ugh I hate flying!" I exclaim, still being held by Aang, who seems to be in some kind of a trance. "You can let go off me now." I say to Aang, embarrassed he's still holding me

"Oh right , sorry." He says as he unwraps his arm, blushing.

Something isn't right here, I think. Why is Aang blushing for me?

But as quick as the thought came, I shrug it off and stroll to join the others in making a campsite.
