(I'm not sure if there are birthdays in the Star Wars universe but for the sake of this story, let's pretend there are!)
3rd Person POV (I believe that's what it's called!)
On a lazy Thursday night, Anakin was tinkering with some spare parts he kept around his and Ahsoka's quarters at the temple, while Ahsoka was working on her studies when he suddenly realized,
"Hey Snips, I almost forgot, Saturday is Obi Wan's birthday." Ahsoka looked up from her notes she was working on and put her pencil down on the kitchen table,
"Really, do you know how old he's turning?" she asked with a cheeky smile on her face. "I don't know if I wanna know." Anakin replied with a grin on his face not looking up from the metal pieces in his hand. Ahsoka started giggling at his reply.
"Anyways, we should do something special for him this year." Ahsoka mentioned after she stopped giggling. "I agree, but what should we do?" Anakin said putting the silver parts down on the kitchen counter and looking over at Ahsoka.
"Well, I don't know. I feel like we should do something. He deserves it from having to put up with your crash landings all the time" Ahsoka whisper the last sentence, loud enough for Anakin to hear while a smile stretched across her face. "Hey! I heard that!" Anakin whined pretending to sound upset while throwing a dishtowel at Ahsoka using the force.
"Well, it's true. Every time you fly, we crash!" Ahsoka said throwing the towel back at Anakin. "That is not true and the ships are too slow, it's not my fault." Anakin grumbled, tossing the dishtowel on the counter next to the sink. "Yeah, sure. Keep telling yourself that Skyguy," she replied rolling her eyes.
"Anyways," Anakin said nearly cutting off Ahsoka's snippy comment, "we need to think of something to do for Obi Wan's birthday." Ahsoka thought for a moment, tapping her pencil on the table.
"We could... make his favourite dessert, carrot cake! (I know they don't have carrots in star wars but oh well!) And throw a small party with some of our friends. We could also go looking around Coruscant for a gift." Ahsoka suggested, standing up walking to the kitchen counter where Anakin's spare parts were spread out.
"Hmm, sounds like a good idea. Plus, I can't think of anything better, so let's do it!" Anakin said. "I have the rest of the week off from my classes so we can go looking for ingredients, decorations and a gift tomorrow." Ahsoka suggested.
"Alright. We'll head out tomorrow morning. Which means you should probably get some sleep Snips." Anakin said while ushering Ahsoka towards her room. Ahsoka groaned as she walked to her room.
The next morning, Anakin was the first to wake between the two. He changed out of his pj's and got ready for the day. He then left his room to make a fresh pot of coffee.
When he stepped out of his room, he realized the door to Ahsoka's room was still closed and he assumed she was still sleeping, which didn't surprise him. She would sleep all day if she could. 'Typical teenager' Anakin thought to himself.
He started his pot of coffee and as he was waiting for it to brew, he remembered the one time he had given Ahsoka coffee because she was curious as to what it tasted like, and he will never make that mistake again. Anakin chuckled as he replayed the memory of Ahsoka practically bouncing off the walls and going crazy with energy.
After Anakin had finished his coffee while watching the HoloNet, he decided it was time that Ahsoka gets up, as he wanted to leave soon.
He walked up to her door and knocked, "Sleepyhead, get up! We have to leave soon!". He heard a groan from inside her room followed by "5 more minutes!" "Snips, I'm leaving soon, with or without you, so I suggest you get up." Anakin replied. He wasn't actually going to leave without her but it was the only way to get her up.
