Olivia curled her feet up into her desk chair, sitting in the dark. It felt like she was in this exact position only days ago, but that time, it felt a lot simpler. Her only worry was getting rid of her feelings for Luke, for Julie's sake. But now, she wasn't in the band, and she sure as hell wasn't in love with Luke.

She grabbed her notebook, flipping to the page she had written all those things about him. Her eyes looking over every messy word she had scribbled down. How amazing he was, and how much he cared. How selfless and kind he was, and how he made her feel things she never felt before.

Her jaw clenched, and her brows furrowed. Oh, how things change. She ripped the page out, tearing it to shreds and letting the small strands fall to her desk.

Olivia glanced over at her window, seeing a flash of that night in her house. She supposed while she was on a roll, sticking up for herself, she might as well see if her parents are home. Those assholes could use a few words.

She stood from her chair, wandering out her room and shutting the door. Her eyes glimpsed at Julie's room, before she quickly made her way down the stairs. She didn't want anyone seeing where she was going; it would only cause panic.

She peeked at Ray in the kitchen- he was distracted long enough for her to slip out the front door with no questions.

Olivia sighed as she looked up at the sky. It was dark and cloudy, like it was going to rain. The wind was harsh, and the atmosphere felt weird. It was almost like a sign, but she had to do this eventually. She couldn't keep pretending.

She took deep breaths as she made it to the pavement, trying to calm her uneven breathing pattern. It wasn't like her parents could do anything worse than what they had already done. Destroying that guitar was like destroying a piece of her. Which it seemed that was their life mission.

Olivia glanced back at Julie's house, crossing the road to the other side. Her hair blowing around wildly and in her face as the wind struck her. It was odd weather for California around this time.

She turned back, nearing closer and closer to her house; her eyes catching glimpse of a car pulled in weirdly to the driveway. It was like they drove through the grass or something.

And her thought would be right, because as she reached the driveway, she could see the tire marks in the grass.

"What the hell?" Olivia questioned, hesitantly glancing up at her house. Something felt wrong now. She supposed she could have gotten that idea the first time, but this proved it true. Who the hell parks like that?

Her eyes traced along the car as she walked up, and her brows indented. She felt her mouth fall open as she moved closer to peek in the window more. There stacks upon stacks of beer cans and bottles thrown all over the back seat and on the floor.

Olivia shook her head, running towards the front door. She burst through, almost gagging at the harsh smell that had gotten ten times worse since the last time she was there. The trash lining the floor seemed to have grown, and the damage seemed to have increased to the furniture.

She traced her eyes over every little thing, kicking one of the cans with her foot lightly. She felt so confused. Her eyes suddenly whisked up at the sound of a voice coming from inside, and her lips parted.

"Beth, is- that you?" A voice slurred drowsily, making her hair stand up. That voice... that voice was her dad!

Olivia furrowed her brows as she moved slowly down the hallway, careful not to step on any trash.
