They were riding for a while now, but Mando slowed down again as did Toro
"Shh shhh." Whispered Mando
He got off his bike, as did Toro and You. They crawled over to a little sand dune and looked over to see an animal dragging someone.
"Oh my god ! How cute ! "
You stood up and slides down
"Hey- Get back here Y/n !"
"Wow she's lovely. I'd marry her."
"No you won't."
"Cmon Mando, having a woman fine as her luckiest man on the galaxy!" Said Toro
Mando grunted, and begin to slide down, you were looking over the body, Mando came
"Poor creature..." You whispered
You petted the creature
"Is IT HER !?" Asked Toro
"Another bounty hunter ." Said Mando
You stood in front of him.
"Are you-"
Mando pushed you and he was shot.
"Oh HELL!" Yelled Toro
Mando grunted as he flew back You looked at Mando wide eyes
"Mandi-"
You looked back and another shot hit Mando. You were getting angry
"This-"
Mando grabbed your wrist and ran up the sand dune, another shot hit Mando on the back as he fell forward pulling you. He groaned
"What happened?" Asked Toro
"Sniper bolt. Only an MK-modified rifle could make that shot."
"Are you all right?"
"Yeah. Hit me in the beskar, and at that range, beskar held up."
"Wait, I don't wear any beskar."
"Nope."
"But neither does she... you know love this is very dangerous-"
"When I'm with Mandi I'm the most safe." You smiled
"Well lovely... I can protect you too-"
"You see where that shot came from?" Asked Mando
He interrupted Toro, but he nodded
"Yeah, it came from that ridge."
"Okay, we're gonna wait until dark."
"Well, what if she escapes?"
"She's got the high ground. She'll wait for us to make the first move. I'm gonna rest. You take the first watch. Stay low!"
Mando went down the sand dune and laid against his speeder bike. You stayed and watch with Toro. After a couple minutes it was still sunny,
"You are very beautiful ya know?"
"Aw thank you."
"I think after this mission we should get married."
You laughed a bit and looked at him
"Toro... marriage ? I don't think I'm fit for it."
"Why?"
You didn't need to think of it, remembering some whatnot your past on what that older woman told you, it seemed like you didn't need it. That all you thought about was the empire, and a darkness that needed to be unleashed.
