Chapter 13: Truth

"The princess isn't in your grasp.. which is good cause she'll be ours."

"Your still hiding ?"

"What do you know about her!" Shouted Karga

"I trained her, princess Y/n Palpatine, the granddaughter of Emperor Palpatine, the child raised in the darkness would always stay."

Mando was listening but he looked at You and saw you were crying.

"That girl showed extremely beautiful power, we all knew what she was capable of. She can become the next Emperor! At the age of 5 she killed 40 Storm troopers, at the age of 9 she was a Commander, had her own fleet, everything. She was a prodigy, no emotion, ruthless and showed no mercy. She's killed more people then I have. At the age of 11 she managed to destroy 3 planets.... at the age of 13 she had an initiation..."

You gasped, You head peeked out to find something shocking.

"She was given a mission to kill her family.. and she completed it."

You covered your mouth, Tears fell down your face.

"I've never seen a monster that evil, oh how her mother begged for mercy, saying that her own child wouldn't hurt her but it turns out she did. That was when she was taken away!"

"We need to escape."

"I'm so sorry..." you whispered

Mando went to you, he grabbed your hand.

"Why?"

"I'm a monster ! I killed my parents! I killed my little brother."

"A couple of months ago we found her, only to have her crash on a plant and be taken away again. I heard that she's soft, lost that will she had before. Lost her memory. Darth Nihilus."

"Y/n listen to me... I know you-"

"Do you? I could kill you, I killed the ones who loved me! The one who gave birth to me- I don't want to hurt you Mandi."

"Is there another way out?"

"What about the sewers?"

"Sewers?"

"The Mandalorians have a covert down in the sewers. If we can get down there, they can help us escape."

"Yeah, sewers are good."

"Checking for access points."

They watching stormtroopers set up a cannon

"Hold up. They're setting up an E-Web."

"I found the sewer vent."

Everyone was surprised on how he knew them

"What do you propose"

"Reasonable negotiation."

"The minute we open that door, we're dead."

"We're dead if we don't. At least out there, we've got a shot."

"That's easy for you to say. I'm a Rebel Shock Trooper. They'll upload me to a Mind Flayer."

"Those aren't real. That was just wartime propaganda"

Everyone was quiet and Mando was with You

"I'm shooting my way out of here"

"I know who he is-"

"It's Moff Gideon." You said

"No. Moff Gideon was executed for war crimes."

"It's him. He knew my name."

Everyone stood silent

"I haven't heard that name spoken since I was a child."

"On Mandalore?"

"I was not born on Mandalore."

"But you're a Mandalorian."

"Mandalorian isn't a race." Said Cara

"It's a Creed."

"I was a foundling. They raised me in the Fighting Corps. I was treated as one of their own. When I came of age, I was sworn to the Creed. The only record of my family name was in the registers of Mandalore. Moff Gideon was an ISB officer during the purge. That's how I know it's him."

"That's how he knows who we all are."

"He says he needs us, which means the child got away safely. I was worried when the Ugnaught didn't respond, but if they'd captured the kid, we'd already be dead."

"I should go outside."

"What?"

Everyone looked at You.

"No."

"It's the only way! You guys will be safe! He has that machine! It could wipe you all out I don't want that-"

"No."

Mando tried calling Kuiil again. But got static and a little giggle, You smiled and went closer to Mando

"Kuiil has been terminated."

"What did you do?"

"I am fulfilling my base function."

"Which is?"

"To nurse and protect."

Soon an explosion was heard and all the storm troopers got their attention away. They heard shooting, Mando, Karga went outside to help. You went after them and used your fighting skills, You of course got a bit roughed up but you saw Mando grab a machine and you saw Moff shoot at the battery causing it to explode. Your eyes widen it felt like time had stopped, your heart was pounding against your chest

"MANDIIIIIII!" You screamed

The storm troopers that surrounded you were pushed back, Mando laid on the ground motionless, You rushed to his side

"Wake up! Mandi! Wake up!" You yelled

You couldn't hear anything you were panicking, all you could hear was the pounding of your own heart.
