Interviewees and Board Meetings

Back at the Jackson's office, he receives a call from one of his job recruiters.
Lance: "Mr. Tontione?"
Jackson: "Yeah, Lance?"
Lance: "A Valera Dalili, is here for an interview?"
Jackson: "Ah yes, send her up."
......Main Lobby......
Lance: "The boss said you could come on up."
Valera: "Thank you."
She walks to the elevator and reaches the top floor and takes deep breath before knocking.
Jackson: "Come in."
Valera: "Hello! Mr. Tontione, right?"
Jackson: "Yes, and you must be Valera."
Valera: "Yes, sir. It's always been my dream to work here at Tontione Enterprises."
Jackson: "Hmm... have a seat."
Valera takes a seat in a chair close Jackson's desk.
Jackson: "Okay, I'm going to ask you some questions after I explain what this position entails. Understood."
Valera: "Of course."
Jackson: "First up, this position requires attentiveness, attendance of all board meetings and maintaining a high degree of time accuracy during said meetings."
Valera: "Okay, I can handle that, sir."
Jackson: "Alright then."
Jackson: "First question. As a secretary, are you required to monitor and ensure that all the bylaws are followed?"
Valera: "Yes, I feel that all furry employees should be able to follow all bylaws in respect to company policy."
Jackson: "Okay, good answer. Now for question two."
Jackson: "What would you do if you caught someone not following a specific procedure?"
Valera: "I would report it to the nearest supervisor first. Then the information would pass until it reaches the Director and Chief Operating Officer and then to you."
Jackson: "Very good."
Jackson: "My last question is, where do you see yourself in six years from now?"
Valera: "I see myself as either a Chief Operating Officer or the Vice President of Tontione Enterprises."
Jackson writes down her responses for later review.
Jackson: "Do you have any questions for me or which I could answer?"
Valera: "Yes. Is it true that Tontione Enterprises is coming up with a new fusion reactor?"
Jackson: "Yes, you've heard correct. Tontione Enterprises is close to completing a fusion reactor to further increase the amount of clean energy for Coastal City and beyond."
Valera: "Wow. That is so cool."
Jackson: "Better to keep this world environmentally healthy than not."
Valera: "Okay, this is my last question for you."
Jackson: "Go ahead."
Valera: "If I was offered the position, how much is the daily workload?"
Jackson: "Mainly what I mentioned before. Following the bylaws and making sure your fellow coworkers are following proper procedures within this building."
Valera: "Oh okay."
Jackson: "Anything else you want to add?"
Valera: "Um, no."
Jackson: "Alrighty, then. Thank you for coming by and I'll contact you via email after I have made the final decision."
Valera: "Okay sounds great. Thank you, Mr. Tontione."
Jackson: "Thank you for your time."
Valera: "Bye!"
Jackson waves goodbye to her as she leaves his office.
Jackson: "Smart for a mouse furry. I might consider bringing her in. Perhaps even one of the other candidates that applied for the Head Secretary, R&D Assistant, and Chief Marketing Officer roles."
Jackson: "I might as well get the board room on time."
He goes in and greets everyone in The Board of Directors before he gets started by showing them the extensive benefits of his Fusion Green Reactor.
Jackson: "Now to get this started. We are here to discuss the future distribution of the company's newest innovation, the Solar Fusion Reactor."
He shows a small model of it to make his point.
Jackson: "Only sixty-five percent of the population in Coastal City are using solar panels and generators, while the rest are still using power lines to keep their lights on."
Director Hallaway: "Is the goal to gain more possible buyers of this device you are proposing?"
Jackson: "There is that, but that is only part of it. This company's main goal is to utilize and eco-friendly technology."
Jackson: "This... this right here is future that will save not just this city's power grid, but all power grids worldwide. Think about it. Every single city and town with this technology won't have to worry about periodic outages or surges ever again."
The entire room nods in agreement with his proposition to put the Solar Fusion Reactor on the market.
Jackson: "Plus the fusion particles combined with solar energy from the pure sunlight will last throughout the night. Plus, the billing costs on these babies will be reduced big time for all our customers."
Director Hallaway: "Hmm... I must admit, this does sound promising."
He thinks for a few moments.
Director Hallaway: "I vote we move forward with the Tontione Corporation's new device as a marketable product. All in favor?"
The majority of the boardroom raises their paws in agreement with this proposal, while the rest stay silent and unconvinced.
Jackson: "Excellent, I believe that is all for today. Meeting adjourned!"
He leaves out of the room excited about his persuasive speech in the meeting room.
Jackson: "Ahh, and I still have an hour until my wife's appointment."
Director Hallaway congratulates him along with some other board members and went their separate ways.
