"Don't you ever..run off like that again. You got that?"

She nodded quickly. I was still on the verge of crying. I pulled her in into a tight hug.  Then..

Me: Roc?

Roc: Yeah, It'e great to see you again.

Me: Yeah, long time no see.

I was flushed with embarrassment and shyness. I didn't know how to react to this situation. I just kept my mouth shut and smiled. That is, until he started to have a full conversation with me. I stared at him for a while. Man, he looks good. And delicious. His muscles were showing a little. I must have been staring to long

Roc: Are you okay?

Me: Yeah, I'm fine. 

Roc: Were you liking what you was seeing.

Me: Sure. I got to go.

Ava: Momma can I stay with dad?

Me: He probably has plans.

Roc: I never have plans when it comes to Ava.

Me: So you are saying that you have nothing to do. Look, I will have to see. I can't just let you have Av--

Roc: I'm not busy. I have seen her in a while and I want to hang out with her in person.

In person? What?!?!

Ava: Yeah, I want to go with him.

Both of them gave me a puppy lip. Roc stuck out his bottom lip and Ava was fake crying. Damn, their good.

Me: ALRIGHT!! Damn. Go, but call me when your ready to come home.

Roc: I'll take her home when she's ready. 

He took her hand and they started looking at more hats. I just thought I should leave.

Roc: Wait.

Me: What?

Roc: Maybe we can catch up.

Me: Be with Ava first. Then maybe we can talk. I got to go.

I turned around fast not giving him a chance to respond. 

Me: Oh, yeah, keep an eye on her because she likes to run off at times.

I turned around to tell him that and turned again for him not to respond. I walked back outside to my car and drove home. All I could think about was Ava and Roc. Mostly Roc of course. Hope their having a good time.
