And for the second time in a month, he was falling.
This time, there was no dumpster.
He landed on soft warm sand.
"What's going- oh, what the hell?!" A girl's voice yelled. "Seriously? A plane? On my island?"
Octavian tried to get up. "Where am I?"
The girl had long auburn hair, and she glared at Octavian. "Shh. Close your eyes. You and your friends will be fine."
He did what she asked. Octavian closed his eyes, and fell asleep.

"Why are they here?"
"I don't know, they just crashed on my island!"
Octavian groaned and opened his eyes. "Where am I?"
There stood the same girl, and a vaguely familiar Latino boy with curly hair and elfish features.
Octavian blinked. "I know you. We- we've met before. You're- you're- who are you? Leonardo?"
The boy sighed. "Leonidas. Leo Valdez."
