Tracer P.O.V:
I nudge Chance on the shoulder, trying to wake him up. He roles over and rubs his eyes. "Goodmorning hottie" he says smiling at me happily.
We haven't 'done it' yet but I'm going to ask when I gain confidence.
He gets up and we do our morning routine before getting changed and going to the cafeteria for breakfast. We walk in and everything seems to be normal except for the the TV which is showing an article about Chance and I. Its kinda embarrassing but it show alot of photos of us together which are really good.
The Newest Overwatch Couple?
Is listed on the screen as it continues to show pictures of us, some of them I didn't even know were taken. "Congrats you made the news youngblood" a voice says from behind us. We turn around to see Jack Morrison staring us down, his visor still on. Darn its been a while since I've seen Jack around here. He shoves past us and to the middle of the cafeteria where he steps up onto the table.
"Listen up!" he yells out. Everyone stops what they're doing and gathers around the table. "We have a mission, all of you get ready now!" He yells before getting off the table and walking towards the Hanger. Everyone scatters and grabs there gear before quickly running over to the hanger.
"Looks like he's dropped his grudge" Chance says as we walk casually towards the hanger. I smile at this and hold his hand on our way there.
Once there we gather around a briefing table thats on one of the ships. The door closes and we take off as Jack starts taking us through whats going on. "We're heading to Kings Row, Talon agents are planning on deploying an EMP so we have to act fast or else they'll get to their destination." He starts with. I blank out and miss the rest of his plan. Kings Row. I haven't been there for ages, I just wish I was coming here on better terms.
He finishes his speech and everyone disbands, leaving to there own parts of the ship. I take a seat next to Chance and lay my head on his shoulder. "You okay?" he asks kissing me on the head and putting his arm around me. "Yeah, I'm fine, I just hope we get there in time" I say back to him.
