Chapter #3: Losing the Shadow Over You

" Yes Mom! I am on the way.... are you alright.. why are you crying...had something happened... I am coming donot worry. I am on the way".

"What has happened is something wrong" questioned Noman anxiously.

"I donot know. Mom will never tell me. She just wants us in the hospital" said Farhan accelerating the car speed.

They rushed into the hospital. Farhan's mind wasn't working at all. They were searching the hall ways and running here and there. Then Noman saw Mr.s Khan holding the door knob head down and wiping her tears from her eyes with the other hand.

"Mom what has happened" Farhan said anxiously.

" Oh dear your father is in the ICU. The doctors are saying that his condition is critical" said Mr.s Khan while crying and gasping.

Before he could say anything or react.ICU door opened and doctor came out and only delivered those word which shattered them into pieces. He was orphaned. He had lost a father, a friend and a supporter who supported him when he needed the most.

Words only words. Only words can change your life.
Those words were one of the reason why he destroyed his life. He felt like his whole life had been torn apart. He couldn't argued nor he could change anything. It was time when he could give anything to bring back his father but nature is brutal. It's the way life is. You can't do any this you have to just wait and watch until nature hits you hard and it never gives you time to react. A time comes when you thinks that nothing is left in your life and deep down it pierces you. Letting someone go is never easy.

Farhan never had time to react. When he heard those words delivered from doctor he stared his mother for a moment. Mr.s Khan couldn't control herself. It was never easy to loose someone who vowed to spend his whole life with you. It was measure of seconds when scenario changed and in blink of eyes Mr.s Khan hit the floor with a bang like a body without life and Farhan couldn't do anything.

He just watched. Noman rushed towards Mr.s Khan. How many families had lost someone in that hospital. Hospitals are one of the life destroying places where a new life roots to this cruel and merciless world and also a place where people feels that death is also a part of life which they have forget completely.

Farhan didn't care about anyone in that moment. He ran as fast as he could to get out of that place. He ran and ran in any direction he found and finds himself in a park outside the hospital. He could not bare those words and the sadness. His eyes were filled with tears and he cried as loud as he could. Everyone just looked at him as it was normal routine for them to see someone crying in pain because every days people dies in hospital.

Farhan's heart was pounding. His mind was not able to accept that his father had died neither he wanted to. He wanted to get out of that place. He went to his car while his hands were shaking. He somehow managed to open the door and ignite his engine. He accelerated his car and was driving his car very fast. He was driving his car as fast as it goes while tears still pouring from his eyes.
