Chapter #5: More Than Just Friends

  Hospital was indeed a hard time for Farhan but he was discharged. He felt like he was released from jail where he was mentally tortured every day.



People dies but their memories remains.



At first few days he spend most of his time in his room. Noman insists him to get some fresh air and swing his mood but he never agreed. His sleeps was gone. He was always surrounded by thought. At night he would oftenly hears her mother crying.

One Sunday morning while he was downstairs having breakfast alone his phone ringed. He picked up the phone and heard the sweet voice of Kristin.




"How is your health" she asked.


"I am doing fine" he answered.


"Would not see you around nor in college" she questioned.


"Yes actually I am having some rest from college. How are the study going" he questioned.


" Fine actually good. I was asking if you are.... I mean you are free today" she said moving her head not able to use the correct words.


" I am though. Is there any problem?" he said.

"No I am actually hosting a party tonight my house. Molly isn't home so I guess if you ride with me to get some stuff for tonight party" she said after taking a long breath.



" Isn't it too early" he inquired.


" I know. Actually I was bored so I guess we will buy stuff for the party and can actually have a good conversation. If you are busy than it's ok" she said.


"No No its actually fine. I also wanna change my mood" he said quickly.



" Then I will be to your house in 10min" she said with happiness.


" Oky I will be waiting"

Farhan went to his mother's room. She was sitting on a chair and was holding an album. She would see a photo stares at it for a moment and then turn it. Farhan sat near her.


" Mom are you okay" he said to her.


"No I don't think. My world had shattered apart. It's really harddd" She said in a breaking voice while tears poured from her eyes. " I am sorry son I am really sorry but I can't"



"No mom it's all right. Don't worry about me I am totally fine" he said while crying.



"Were you going somewhere" questioned her mother.



"No it's all right I will stay" said Farhan trying to accompany her.



"Don't worry about me son I am fine" she said.
