Chapter 12

The night was falling as Felicity and Oliver when finished decorating the Christmas present tree

“Nice I like it.” Felicity said as she looked at the tree from top to bottom

“Christmas presents on a Christmas present tree.” Oliver told her with a smile that she returned

“It is inspiring don’t you think?” Felicity asked looking at him as she sighed at her hands work

“I love it.” Oliver told her as they both smiled at it as Oliver looked around and said “It’s getting a little dark in here I’ll go turn on the light.” He said as he was about to walk away Felicity stops him

“No, no not yet.” She told him as he looks at her in confusion “I rigged all the lights on this remote so…all you have to do is press this one button and…Marry Christmas.” She told him as she lit up all the lights, brightening the whole place up

“There is a light in the darkness. And darkness is not overcoming.” Oliver said to Felicity as she smiled “It’s amazing.” He added and Felicity felt proud of herself

“Come see your book.” She said leading him to the living room as he followed behind her. The book was set up on a special little table and opened on the one of the last chapters where a picture was and was surrounded by red all around a some mistletoe and Oliver was impressed

“This is so special and perfect.” He told her as they looked over at the book “Could I take you to dinner to thank you for all your hard work?” Oliver asked Felicity who give him a gentile smile and said

“Yeah sure.”

They have spent their evening in a little Italian restaurant eating pizza and drinking bear

“They don’t serve pizza and bear on the social gatherings I go to.” Oliver told Felicity who was taking a sip of her bear “The cast party’s are when I get to enjoy things like pizza and bear.” Oliver said with a smile taking a sip form his bear

“Are you going to the cast party after the Nutcracker opening?” Felicity asked him

“I don’t know. It could be a weary big night for me.” He said as he was looking for something in his pocket “Let me see. I got it.” He said as he pulled out the blue box that had the engagement ring in it “I was thinking of proposing.” He told Felicity as he showed her the ring and she looked from the ring to him

“To miss Hall?” Felicity asked as she looked at him

“What do you think?” Oliver asked her with a big smile on his face as Felicity sighed

“I think it’s beautiful.” She told him as she stopped and he smiled “But it’s not really miss Halls style.” She pointed out as Oliver looked at the ring

“Really?” Oliver asked as Felicity nodded

“Yeah it’s…It’s too traditional and miss Hall is much more contemporary.” She told him as Oliver closed the box

“I bought it in Milan.” Olive told Felicity who smiled “And when I bought it I was completely convinced that we were supposed to be together. Then when I got beck to Starling I couldn’t decide if I was feeling knots or flutters.” Felicity felt confused at his explanation “You knots like something is holding you back.” At that Felicity nodded finally catching up with what he was saying “You see the other night I was feeling flutters.” He told her and Felicity smiled

“You did?” she asked with anticipation

“Yes I did and it wasn’t with Pricilla.” Oliver said as Felicity nodded “So I didn’t know whether I was feeling knots of flutters about Pricilla, I thought I was feeling knots but I was actually feeling flutters so…I’m feeling flutters.” He said as Felicity smiled at him
