Chapter 29: The 3rd Floor

As we rode the elevator back up to the dorms, we were all silent. Only Taka's screams of agony and sobs filled the air, as he mourned deeply for his greatest friend.

This feeling... was worse than Hifumi's trial.

A lot worse.

Like... if Hifumi's death wasn't shattering to us all, then Mondo's was 5 times worse.

No one bothered to speak. No one bothered to move.

And, when the elevator reached the dorm floor, we stiffly walked back to our dorms without saying a word.

Crashing into my room, I let out a sigh as I took off my hood and got into the bed. The emotions I felt at the time was...

Actually... I don't know what they even are anymore.

Sadness? Anger? Agony?

Despair?

I didn't even know anymore. I just felt... numb.

And, as I laid on my bed, trying my best to remove the thoughts away of what had happened and sleep...

Seconds turned to minutes. Then, it became 30 minutes.

And, I still couldn't sleep, nor remove the thoughts away.

"Dammit... I need to walk these thoughts away..."

Standing up from the bed, letting out a deep sigh, I put my hoodie back on and left the room.

But, as I left the room, I heard footsteps down the hall.

And... an eerie noise coming from the bathhouse.

"What the hell...?"

Distracted, I walked towards the source of the sound, reading the portrait in front of the open door's room as I went. Apparently, it seemed that Hina had thought that she needed a walk, too.

So, I went and followed the source of the eerie noise.

"What is that sound?" I thought to myself as I moved past halls and rooms.

And... as I arrived at the bathhouse...

"KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

A high-pitched scream erupted.

"Hina!?"

Whirling around to the bathroom, I noticed that...

Hina was passed out on the ground.

And, as I looked up to see the source of what made her pass out...

"C-CHIHIRO!?"

An image of our fallen classmate shimmered on a laptop's screen.
