Jungkook slams his car door shut and runs up the stairs to Jin's apartment door, repeatedly ringing the doorbell; he stops and leans against the rails. His fourth time stopping by Jin's apartment within the last week, only to either not get a response or be told that Jin was a work.
Each time he called Jin, the calls were brief, and Jin declared he was busy with work, so he didn't have time to see each other. He didn't understand what was going on as he thought they had started a new, and he hated assuming. Still, he had a strong feeling that Jin was ignoring him, and it irritated him. In truth, it was stressful for him because no matter what he did, he kept thinking of Jin, even while at school.
Today, he knew with confidence Jin was home, as Taehyung had confirmed it for him, but also told him Jin had just gotten home from work. Therefore, he waited until after he was done with his classes to see Jin. Eight hours later, after he had spoken to Taehyung, who also confirmed from talking to Jimin that Jin did not have work the next morning.
"Jungkook, how are you?" Jimin greets Jungkook with a smile as he opened the door for him to enter their apartment hallway.
Jungkook smiles at Jimin, "doing good, here to see Jin. How have you been?"
"Ahh, he is sleeping or might be awake; he has been in his room since he got home today, so not entirely sure. I have been good, taking it one day at a time. How is school? Are you getting good grades?"
Jungkook had learned from Taehyung that Jimin usually asked him his schooling and how he was doing very often. Therefore he didn't bother taking any offense to Jimin's question. "Thanks for letting me know, and school's fine. Doing what I can to stay afloat."
Jimin nodded and walked towards the second opening to their apartment, leading Jungkook inside. Jungkook stood by the door and removed his shoes, "Jin's room is-"
"I know, thank you, Jimin." Jungkook gave Jimin another smile and walks off to Jin's room.
*****
Jungkook knocked on Jin's room door three times before entering, thanks to the door being unlocked. To his surprise, the room was dark, but not too dark where he couldn't see anything. Jin was cuddled up under his blanket and appeared to be sleeping. Taking off his jacket, Jungkook places it to the side on a chair in Jin's room and heads over to his bed. As soon as he sits, Jin's eyes opened.
"Hi." he muttered out, taking a deep sigh and turns onto his back, "I wasn't expecting you today."
"I don't think you were expecting me ever," Jungkook says, reaching to the lamp next to Jin's bed and turning it on.
Jin shuts his eyes closed and placed his hands over them, "you could have warned me you were going to turn on the light." Groaning, he removes his hands and opens his eyes, allowing them to adjust to the light. He sits upon his bed and moves towards the headboard, resting his back against it. "what's going on? Why the sudden visit?"
"Well, I thought I would check in on you since you pretty much been ignoring me-"
"I have been busy with work Jungkook."
"Understandable, but I feel like since you told me we could date, you have been extremely busy with work, almost as if you are avoiding me. Are you avoiding me, Seokjin?" Jungkook turned so he could look at him.
Jin looks at him and nods his head, not even wanting to deny it, "I have been, sorry."
Jungkook was grateful for Jin's honest, it made him know he wasn't assuming things, and his hunch was correct, "why?"
"You want the truth?" Jin looks at him, searching his eyes for his response before he even gave it. "I do; I always want the truth, good or bad, Seokjin."
