"What? I didn't know about that message, Kate. I promised I'm not the one who sent that to you last night." Jeric said, talking to Kate who didn't even look into his eyes.
They are talking at the fire exit staircase on their school. No one is around them so they can talk in private.
"I promised. I didn't accept Candace last time. How can I do that if my mind is filled with thoughts of you, Kate? I love you." He said, then tried to hold her hand but a hard slap landed on his face.
"Stop saying that you love me, Jeric. I know that you will never love me more than that Candace so please, stop fooling me! Stop giving me false hopes. Stop staying by my side just because of pity. I need love, a true love, Jeric!" Kate shouted with tears falling down from her eyes. She loves Jeric, so much, but he can never love her back, obviously.
"No, Kate. That's not true. If I don't really love you, I will accept Candace again, but I didn't because of you. She just drugged me last night that's why I didn't came to our movie night. I'm so sorry." He said with tears falling down his eyes now. He kneeled down in front of her. "Give me another chance, Kate. I promise that I will be careful from now on. I promise that Candace can never fool us again. I promise that I will do everything just to prove my love for you. Don't leave me, Kate. Please?"
She felt sincerity in his words, but she didn't look at him. She wants to forgive him and accept him again but... her heart is so confuse after last night.
"I need space, Jeric. If you really love me, if you're honestly in love with me, you'll respect my decision." She said coldly, then take a look at him who's still kneeling on the floor. "Let's cool off."
He shook his head. "No. Don't do this to me, Kate. I can't let you go. I can't lose you. Please? Give me another chance."
She sighed, then helped him stand up. She gave him a weak smile, then caressed his face gently. "I love you, Jeric. But... I really need space right now. Please?"
He nodded, then hugged her so tight. Her heart is aching seeing him crying because of her but... she really needs some time alone.

"For how long will you stay there, Kate? Can we come with you?" Yesha asked Kate who just smiled ,then shook her head.
"Why? We want to see Carlos too. Let us come with you, princess." Natalie whined.
"Stop acting like a baby, Natalie. It doesn't suit you." Kate complained making Natalie pouted at her.
"Stop that, Natalie. It's really gross." Yesha said. She looked back at Kate, then smiled. "Let us wish her luck and a happy trip, okay?"
Natalie and Yesha sandwiched Kate with their bear hug.
"Stop being dramatic, girls. I will just stay at the city this weekend. I will go back right away after talking to Carlos." Kate said struggling in the bear hug. She breathed normally when her two friends finally stopped sandwiching her.
"You have to go back here as soon as possible or else, we will follow you in the big city, okay?" Natalie said cutely but Kate just rolled her eyes.
After one last hug, Natalie and Yesha finally let go of Kate, then almost pushed her inside the bus. Kate glared at her friends who just laughed at her. She then sat down on one chair next to the window in the middle row.
"I need answers, Carlos. I hope this time, you will finally tell me the truth. Just be honest with me, my best friend." She talked to herself, thinking about him.
