It hadn't been that long since Peter died. Chris had forbidden Scott to go anywhere near his daughter. They had kept their relationship a secret, me and Stiles being the only ones that knew. They had a secret date tonight.
Lydia was recovering nicely from the bite, but was still being kept at the hospital. Stiles had barely left her side.
Once night, I had come to the hospital to see her. Instead, I found Stiles lying on a chair, sleeping. I was so tempted to draw on his face. Instead, I leaned close to his face and whispered his name. "Stiles".
He slowly opened his eyes. When it finally registered what was going on, his eyes widened and he jumped out of his chair. "What are you doing?!"
Instead of answering him, I took a look at his distasteful state. "Go home!" He just stood there, seemingly unsure what to do. I started to push him towards the exit. "Lydia will be fine without you. Go home, get some rest, be a normal person for once!"
He turned around to face me. "Says the original heretic," he whispered sarcastically.
Before I could come up with a comeback, we heard a scream that sounded like Lydia. Immediately, we rushed into her room to find it empty and the window open.
We contacted Scott, who had apparently also heard Lydia scream.
Once we got off the phone with him, we saw the sheriff, Melissa, Lydia's father and a deputy all talking, so we started walking up to them. Eventually, we heard the sheriff tell his deputy, "let's get an APB out on a 16 year old redhead. Any other descriptors?"
Without hesitation, Stiles jumped into the conversation. "5'3, green eyes, fair skin, and her hair's actually strawberry blonde".
I raised an eyebrow at him. "Get a life!"
The sheriff pulled his son away, and I followed. "What the hell are you still doing here?"
"Providing moral support?" was Stiles' excuse.
"How about you provide your ass back home where you should be?" his father ordered him. He turned to me. "Make sure he goes home". Then he walked away.
"I'll be happy to," I yelled after him. I pulled Stiles away before whispering in his ear, "We need to find Lydia". He nodded then we walked away.
Scott had agreed to meet us at the hospital but he needed Lydia scent, so we stole her hospital gown when no one was around.
Stiles gave Scott the gown once we had met up with him. Scott sniffed the gown while the two of us waited. Eventually, Stiles turned to me. "Can't you do, like, a spell or something?"
I grabbed the gown and placed my hands around the blood stain. "Can you get the blood off the gown and onto a map?"
He thought for a moment before shaking his head. "Uh, no".
"Then no". I then handed Scott the gown back.
Suddenly, Allison ran up to the car. Scott winded down the window. "What are you doing here? Someone's gonna see us".
"I don't care. She is my best friend and we need to find her before they do".
I leaned forward. "They?"
She nodded. "My father. I just saw him and three other guys leave my home in two SUVs". With that, we opened the door and let her climb in next to me and we were off.
Eventually, Scott led us to the Hale house. "She came here? You sure?" Stiles asked, as though not quite believing it.
"This is where the scent leads," Scott answered.
