A/N: Let me explain. The reason why the last few chapters were so short was that I found the transcripts online, but I decided to stop using them because I was getting so many details wrong.

After his father was hit with the car, Stiles blamed Scott and refused to talk to him. I tried to convince him to talk to Scott, but he was just too stubborn.

The next time we saw him was in school. "Still not talking to me?" Scott asked when he took his seat behind Stiles, who just ignored him. I gave him a pointed look and made a gesture towards Scott, but he just rolled his eyes and ignored me. "Can you at least tell me if your dad's okay?" Still no response.

"He's fine," I answered for Stiles. He gave me a death stare and I gave him another pointed look.

"You know I feel really bad about it, right?" Scott was still trying to get Stiles to talk to him. "What if I told you I'm trying to figure this whole thing out and I went to Derek for help?"

"If I was talking to you, I'd say that you're an idiot for trusting him, but obviously, I'm not talking to you". It was my turn to roll my eyes at how childish he was being.

I sent him a note saying, "JUST TALK TO HIM".

Eventually, he sighed and turned around. "What did he say?" I had a satisfied smile on my face. After class, we continued talking about it. "He wants you to tap into your animal side and get angry?" Scott nodded. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but every time you try to do that, you usually kill someone, and that someone's usually me". I rolled my eyes.

"I know, that's what he means when he says he doesn't know if he can teach me," Scott told us. "I have to be able to control it".

"How's he gonna teach you to do that?"

"I don't know, I don't think he does either". I shook my head to confirm what Scott just said.

Stiles gave an exasperated sigh. "When are you seeing him again?"

"We're meeting up with him after school," I told Stiles.

"Well, that gives me the end of the school day".

We looked at him confused. "To do what?" Scott asked.

"To teach you myself," Stiles replied before walking away.

I chased after him. "I really don't think that's a good idea. Maybe we should just leave it to the expert".

He turned to me. "You know I don't trust him!"

I rolled my eyes again. "Yeah, because he scares you, I know". Before he could come up with a comeback, I quickly checked the time. "I have to go, I promised Allison I'd sit with her. Apparently, she wants to show me something". As I walked off, I called back to them. "Don't get in too much trouble, and Scott better be alive by the end of the day!"

I met up with Allison and Lydia in the cafeteria. The former was reading a passage from a book she borrowed from the library. "A quadruped wolf-like monster, prowling the Auvergne and south Dordogne areas of France during the year 1764 to 1767. La Bête killed over a hundred people, becoming so infamous that King Louis XXV sent one of his best hunters to try and kill it. Even the Church eventually declared the monster a messenger of Satan. Cryptozoologists believe it may have been a subspecies of a hoofed predator, possibly a mesonychid. While others believe it was a powerful sorcerer who could shapeshift into a man-eating monster. It is believed that La Bête was finally trapped and killed by a renowned hunter who claimed his wife and four children were the first to fall prey to the creature. His name was Argent".

Lydia seemed bored by what Allison was reading. "Your ancestors killed a big wolf, so what?"

Allison turned the book around and showed us a picture of La Bête. "Take a look at this picture. What does that look like to you?" Seeing the picture, I was instantly plagued by flashbacks of my time in France.
