A/n : Hello lovely readers!! i hope you're enjoying the story! I'm trying hard to write Snape in proper characterrr - thank you for reading xxxx

"Draco?"

"Hmmm,"

"Can we go back yet?"

"Back where? Downstairs?"

"No, Hogwarts. It's been like 2 meetings and I'm done with this. I miss the kiddy table." I say half seriously and half jokingly.
He chuckles slightly in response, and sits up from his bed which we had been laying on.
"Does it still hurt?" He asks, holding his wrist.

"A bit, sometimes. Like yesterday evening, a lot."

"Yea, I could hardly concentrate. Especially after your whole nightmare incident."

"Don't even remind me. I'm happy we didn't get to sleep tonight." I reply, with a slight laugh.

"You could always go and ask the ex Potions master to give you an anti dream potion. I'm sure he'd be happy to help in your detention!" Draco laughs.

"Ex potions master. I still can't believe it's come to that. I mean we haven't even started lessons yet, and i'm still scared for dark arts."

"Yea and you got detention with him before lessons started."

"Why is my karma so bad! The dark lord and Snape all in one year. I swear I've been a good girl."

"You've been a good girl now, L/n?" A deep voice drawls from the door way.
Snape. Draco looks down, holding in a laugh, and my cheeks grow red with embarrassment.

"I, well, you see, sort of? I don't know. But I know I have been a gooder- sorry not even a bloody word, better girl than before; that doesn't necessarily mean that I'm good by the book but it could mean that-"

"Please stop talking before you give my headache a headache." Snape remarks, pinching the bridge of his nose. Draco immaturely cough-speaks 'burn' before obviously holding in his laughter. Not funny Draco.

"However I must say, Miss L/n, I am pleased to know you regard my presence to cause you as much stress as does that of the dark lord." He says, sarcastically.

"Sorry, I didn't mean it like that.." my voice trails off into thought of what I had actually meant. Draco giggles to himself slightly, before following Snape's hand gesture for us to go downstairs. It's nice to see Draco laugh, I missed our conversation we had at Diagon Alley.
"You know, for spending all your life living with deatheaters, you get so nervous around Snape. It's almost as if-"
"Shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up, he's right behind us Draco!" I whisper yell at him, pulling on his sleeve as we walk down the stairs.

When we reach the dining table again, I glance at all the deatheaters present. Draco was right, I had lived with them - even the scariest of them. For Merlin's sake, I was one. But there was something about Snape that made me too nervous to even get my words out properly. I mean I said 'gooder'. The dark lord compared me to my mother again, but more so her beauty, and I had to stop myself from throwing up. I mean that man, if I could even call him that, was literally obviously crushing on my deceased mother or something and that is revolting especially if I look like her. He hasn't even cut his nails since like the first wizarding war. Gross. The meeting mainly distributed tasks and Draco's was a task about some wardrobe that I may have zoned out on, and my task was yet to be discussed - which was, I have to admit, terrifying. As long as I didn't have to discuss it on my own, I think I'd be alright. I yawn, covering my mouth, and probably making the worst mistake of my life. I yawned during The Dark Lord's speech.
"I do hope I'm not boring you child." The dark lord's raspy voice speaks. Shit.
"N-No, m-my lord." I say meekly, looking down at my lap.
"Then? What's the matter?"
"I-I, well,"
"She is tired my lord. They are still just children after all. They are yet to become accustomed to our late night meetings. Please, excuse them this once." Snape intervenes with confidence not usually seen in front of The Dark Lord.
"Of course, Severus, I do understand. Miss L/n, we will discuss your task next meeting, for now, work with Severus in gathering intel. Take them back please my close friend." He speaks slowly to Snape, his wand hovering over Draco's head.
