Swimming

I am swimming in a pool of contentedness
A serene moment I will hold onto when fear clouds my mind.

Overlooking an ocean of joy
Waves crash with the sparks of excitement they spill onto the shore
Anticipation washing over the anxious grains of sand.

Knowing there is a small clam of judgement
holding the pearl of happiness at the bottom
I may never see it but one day I hope to find it
On that day I will swim to a place I cannot come back from
My emotions will carry me there-to true happiness
a long journey but I keep swimming.
