"They're here."

His voice seemed like its usual drawl, but Kakashi noticed the tensity of Sasori's limbs. He narrowed his now both opened eyes as he stared at the numerous explosions that spread across Konoha.

"Who's here?" Kakashi questioned.

"The Akatsuki."

Kakashi's limbs tensed as sweat dared to drop from his face. It was obvious that they would come, but so soon? It had barely been two weeks since Sakura had come back to the village and they were already here to attack.

But it was that realization that made his right hand tremble uncontrollably.

"We need to get Sakura somewhere safe, now." he mentioned.

Before he could move as quick as he could to make sure of the certainty of Sakura's safety, a gentle yet stiff hand grabbed a hold of his wrist and pulled him back. He grit his teeth under his mask as he stared at the puppeteer─ he wasn't going to let anyone get in the way of making sure that Sakura was safe.

"She's with Hidan, Deidara and Itachi." Sasori began. "They're capable of protecting her. You need to protect the village."

"They're here for her, are they not?"

"They're not here just for her!" He let go of Kakashi's wrist and a serious, composed expression took to his face as yet another explosion was released in the far distance. "They're here to kill Sandaime-Hokage, this was our leader's conviction. Protect the people because they plan on killing them as well, I'll protect them too."

The puppet master began to take his very quick leave as he began to take out his summoning scroll that contained his dearest creation.

"You're an Anbu, don't forget that!"

He left and Kakashi stared up to the sky where dark smoke spread itself with ease, despite the chaos that had erupted from it. His eyes continuously narrowed with his masked lips pressing hard into a thin line.

He had to protect the village while protecting Sakura─ this was going to be a hard battle.

Somewhere deep within Kakashi felt that he couldn't do both.

"W-what?!"

"We don't have the fucking time to talk about this shit, just follow me you idiot!

Naruto refused with his arms crossed, yet a very discreet face of horror was visible to Hidan's eyes. He groaned through annoyance and grabbed his arm along with Sasuke's, leaving Sakura.

"Hidan-san!" Sakura cried out.

He snapped his head her way with tied brows for a moment before he began to run to the front door of the house while Itachi held Sakura back to make sure she was safe.

"Where is it, Itachi??!" Hidan yelled, slipping his shoes on and the kids did the same.

"By the Hokage monuments."

"Fuck." He breathed out, grabbing either wrist of both younger boys and running out the door.

"Nii-chan!" Sasuke yelped.

The door was slammed shut and Itachi's eyes narrowed sadly once he heard the call his younger brother cried to him. The explosions were so close that they could've died─ the only impacts they received were the cabinets opening and spilling all the glass and tableware, causing glass to shatter everywhere. Many other things broke and fell, which left Kakashi's house to be left in a disastrous catastrophe.
