Her Last Hug

Sakura felt oddly cold.

After taking her shower, she slipped on a new pair of clothes and glanced at herself through her reflection of the mirror. A delicate frown creased her face as she stared at herself.

The clothes she wore were the ones Kakashi had bought her a few months back; a navy blue shirt and dark green pants that reached to the middle of her calves.

She began to feel awfully weak again.

It had been like this for a few months now and she could never fix it. She tried to heal herself with Medical Ninjutsu, but it'd never work. She thought that sleeping it out would help, but it never did. It was a type of tiredness that leeched onto her as if it were her skin ─ it was a shell that was stopping her from living to her fullest─ although she sadly smiled at that realization.

She couldn't live to her fullest anymore after what she had gone through when she was held prisoner.

Her thoughts were disturbed once she heard a small knock on the bathroom door.

"Uh Saku-chan, I need to pee...." Deidara's voice echoed into the bathroom, causing a smile to creep onto her plump lips. As she opened the door, he frowned. "You look tired, did you sleep properly?"

Hidan, from the living room chuckled aloud. "Hah! Deidara's acting like a fucking big brother─ it's disgusting!"

"Shut up!"

She walked past the now angered blonde, ducking her head mortified. "Is' okay, I did sleep lots."

"If you say so," his brows tied.

With Sasori's sudden change in demeanor and Sakura's odd moments─ things seemed odd, he thought.

Not only that, but it had been a week and a half where they resided in Konoha and Tobi still hadn't come for them. He wasn't stupid, or at least he didn't think he was── but he was aware of the kind of people that he worked with for a short amount of time in the Akatsuki; they were ruthless, the kinds of people who'd kill for the 'fun' of it because they found genuine pleasure in it.

He'd never forget the time they sacrificed an innocent 5 year old boy from Sunagakure to the Gedo Mazo for their selfish desires.

He really wondered when they'd be in danger again.

"Seriously? You're going to fucking read? That's disgusting."

Sakura giggled as she kept her eyes darted onto her book, feeling the warm arm of the Jashinist wrap around her shoulders. "I really like it lots, Hidan-san. Flowers are really pretty an' I want to know about every single flower in the world!"  He didn't notice this, but green eyes shadowed. "I need ta' know what flower to use for certain times."

"Why?"

"'Cause I want to use flowers for when I need to.."

Her voice began to trail off and Hidan decided to end their conversation right then. He closed his eyes and decided to just sit in peace for awhile to just think about his current situation.

He pondered, when would Tobi and Pain come for him? Why haven't they? They couldn't kill him because he was immortal, but it certainly made him wonder what they'd do. All the possibilities where endless considering the endless powers they had─ but he wasn't going to go down without a fight.
