Chapter # 34 - Flushed Memory

Justine's POV

I was busy checking the papers for the new upcoming building in tagaytay for next hotel branch. When suddenly I've been missing something....

I called Sally immediately.

"Hey" she answered.

"Hey, sweety. How are you doing? Are you busy?"

"Not really. Nag cancel ng appointment ang dalawa sa pasyente ko kaya naman hindi ako gaano ka busy ngayon. I'm just waiting for my last patient to arrive."

"Great! I'm gonna pick you up after my work. I miss you, sweety."

"I miss you too. I'll wait for you after my shift, okay?"

"Okay. Bye. I love you"

"I love you too"

I've finished reading and putting my signature at the filled that I approved and went out of my office.

"Mindy" I called my secretary.

"Yes, sir?"

"I'll be off early. Ikaw na ang bahala sa mga papers na nasa table. I already signed some of them. And talk to Architect Lamata for a meeting next tuesday"

"Copy that sir" she replied and get back to work.

I went out of the building and went to Sally's clinic at their hospital.

I went straight to her clinic and pass by her secretary.

"Mr. Reyes, Dra. Soo will be done soon. Do you mind is you will seat here sir?" sambit ng secretary nito at sinamahan ako sa isang vacant seat sa tapat ng clinic nila.

"I won't mind. It's fine" I said then smiled.

Tumango nalang ang seretarya at pumasok na muli sa clinic. Ilang saglit lang ay lumabas narin ng clinic si Sally.

"Hey sweety" bati ko at tumayo para salubungin siya.

"Hey... Natagalan ka ba sa paghihintay sakin?" She said and hugged me.

"You seem tired. How's your day?" tanong ko dito.

"Nah... I'm fine. Kaunti lang din naman ang naging pasyente ko ngayong araw."

"Okay then. Shall we go on our date?" I said and hold her hand.

"Sure. Saan ba tayo?"

"Which restaurant do you want to eat in?" i ask.

"I seriously just want coffee now. I feel a little tired." She said.

"Starbucks then." I said and we when out of the hospital and when to a Starbucks inside the mall near at the hospital.

"Good Morning Ma'am and Sir. What should I get you two?" tanong ng babae sa counter.

"I want Caffe Mocha" bulong sakin ni Sally.

"We'll have one Caffe Mocha,grande and one Caffe Americano, grande. Also, one Black velvet Cake and One Chocolate mousse."

"Dine in or Take out po?"

"Dine in"

"What name should I put on the mocha and americano, sir?"

"Sally for the Mocha and Justine for the caffe americano"

She wrote our name on the cup and gave it to her co-worker. "Is that all sir? That will be Php 575.00"

I immediately paid it. "Take a sit first and we'll call your name once your order is done and we'll serve you the cakes."

We nod and went to a table for two and sat there. They brought the cake to our table and we just waited for our coffee.

"Isn't it Ironic?" Sally suddenly ask.

"What?" I ask while eating a piece of the cake.

"We were once a people who hurt someone even--- kill" she lowered her voice. And I look at her directly. "But now, after you and Shane went to the US. We all just settled and quit. And now we have a whole different life. I used to make the injuries and kill people but now... I'm the one whose healing them and keeping people alive. Isn't that Ironic?" She said and smiled a little.

I did the same and answered. "Yeah... Me too. But this is good for all of us. The danger we have in our past is not good for us now. We all are planning for our own family that we will build and It's a good Idea to settle down. Mark and Shane already have Serenity and Lyka and Robin already have Lance. Soon we will get married and have a child and it will be dangerous if we keep doing what we're doing before." I said.

"Speaking of family---"

"Sir Justine and Ma'am sally, your coffees are ready." tawag ng babae sa counter so I stood up and get our coffee and sat down.

"You were saying?" I ask.

"Well, speaking of family, our wedding..." She said that made me look at her and smiled Widely.

"Do you want to plan our wedding now, My beautiful fiance?" I said teasing her.

She rolled her eyes. "Shut up" she just said.

"I'm serious. So what do what for our wedding?" I ask and drink my coffee while waiting for her answer.

"I just want a simple wedding, honey. You know, only a few guest which is our friends a families. Not so grand venue where we can all have a good time." She said.

I suddenly smirk and look at her with a wide grin. "What?" she ask looking confused.

"We can have that. I will arrange it. You already said what you want for our wedding, the reception, but there's still one thing missing?"

"What is it?" She raised her eyebrow.

"Our honeymoon. Saan mo gusto? A hotel that the venue offers or our house?" She blushed and that made her look cute. "My sweety is blushing" I teased her.

"Tumigil ka nga" she said looking away and drink her coffee.

I just laugh a little and continue finishing what we ordered. Then suddenly my phone ranged. It's our house number. I immediately answered it.

"Hello?"

"T-tito? Tito Justine?" kinabahan ako ng marinig ko ang pag iyak ni Serenity.

"Serenity? Why are you crying baby? Asan si Mommy mo?

"Tito Justine *snift* huhu... Si mommy. Mommy huhu" she cried.

"Baby, calm down. What happen to mommy?"

"Wala po sina lola dito sa bahay. Mommy suddenly scream and held her head and and.... Huhuhu come home tito. Mommy isn't waking up. I tried to shake her but she's not waking up." hagulgol nito.

I ended the phone and dragged sally out with me.

"What happen?" nagaalalang tanong nito.

"It's Shane. Serenity called crying. She said Shane is unconscious right now...." I said still dragging her out to the parking lot.

"Ohh God...." she worriedly said.

I drove my car and we hurried home.

"please be okay, Shane. Please be okay... I beg you" I chant in my head... I want to see her fine. I hope it's nothing serious. I can't afford to see her hurt again...
