Zephyr

Chapter 12

"Hiccup." Astrid said and looked beside her on the bed, but didn't find him next to her. Hiccup looked at her and smiled sheepishly. "Good morning." Hiccup said. "Morning." Astrid said and yawned. "What time is it?" "Your alarm goes off in five minutes." Hiccup said, wearing his shirt. "Then stay for five more minutes." Astrid said, holding his hand. "You're going to explain to Zephyr about why I stayed over." Hiccup said. "Mhm. Good thinking." Astrid said and sat up. Her body was covered with a soft gown. "I'll get going. See you." Hiccup said and leaned in and kissed Astrid. "Bye." Hiccup said. "Bye." Astrid said. Hiccup went outside of the room, quickly. Astrid smiled and got off bed and took a shower. "Zephyr, we're gonna be late." Astrid called. "Coming." Zephyr said. She walked out of her room with her backpack on. Astrid knelt down when Zephyr stood in front of her. "I might not be able to pick you up after school, but I'll ask nana if she can. Okay?" Astrid said. "Can't Hic-dad pick me up?" Zephyr asked. "Um..I don't really know, but I'll ask him." Astrid said. "Come on. Let's go." Astrid dropped Zephyr off to school and was on her way to work. On her way to work, she called Hiccup. Since her cellphone was already connected to her car, she didn't have to hold her phone. "Hey. It's been two hours only, already miss me?" Hiccup said. "You are full of yourself, aren't ya?" Astrid asked, a smile spreading on her face like a disease. "What can I say? I can attract you like magnet attracting iron." Hiccup said. Astrid rolled her eyes, but still a smile in her face. "Is that normal that I can hear you rolling your eyes?" Hiccup asked. "Definitely normal." Astrid said and chuckled, stopping the car because of the traffic light turning red. "I wanted to know if you could pick Zephyr after school." Astrid said. "I'm kinda staying late tonight." "Yeah, sure, but is Zephyr okay with this? I mean I don't want pressure her into meeting me frequently or whatsoever." Hiccup said. "Well, she asked me if you could pick her after school, and I said I'll ask you. So, it's totally up to you if you're free." Astrid said. The green light turned on and Astrid drove away. "Okay. I'll pick her up."  Hiccup said. A guy honked at Astrid, startling her. "Gods! Asshole!" Astrid cursed him and glared at him. "You okay?" Hiccup asked. "Yeah, a dumbass almost ran into me." Astrid said. "That's the consequences of talking on cell while driving." Hiccup said. "Says you who also is driving." Astrid said. "Umm yeah, you're probably right. So, talk to you later?" Hiccup said. "Yeah." Astrid said. Astrid got to her work. "Hey Ast." Ruffnut greeted Astrid, catching up with her. "Hey." Astrid said. "Whoa. You already drank your coffee?" Ruffnut asked. "Umm no, not yet." Astrid said and smiled, confused. "You don't usually look this happy before your coffee or after." Ruffnut said. "Nothing is different." Astrid said and shook her head. They entered the building and took the elevator. "You got laid?" Ruffnut asked whispering into Astrid's ear since they were two men in the elevator with them. Astrid's cheeks grew hot. "No!" Astrid yelled. The two guys looked at her.  At that moment, Astrid really wanted to die on the place she was standing. "Sorry." Astrid mumbled. She slapped Ruffnut's arm. "You definitely got laid." Ruffnut whispered. The elevator dinged and the girls stepped out off the elevator. "Oh my gods! It was Hiccup!" Ruffnut exclaimed. "For goodness sake, I did not sleep with anyone." Astrid said, putting her bag on her desk. "Tell me. How was it?" Ruffnut asked. "Just because you're willing to talk about your sex life doesn't mean that I am too." Astrid said. "So, you're admitting it?" Ruffnut asked. "Oh gods. I'm not talking to you anymore." Astrid said. "Hey." Tuffnut greeted them. "Hey." They both said. "You look happy, A." Tuffnut said. "She slept with a certain H." Ruffnut said. Astrid groaned. "Are you gonna spread it out?" Astrid asked. "Finally. About time." Tuffnut said. "Olive. Hey. Come here." Astrid said, smiling devilishly. "Olivia. Hi." Ruffnut said. "Please call me Olive. I hate Olivia." The blonde haired girl said. "Olivia is cute." Tuffnut said. Astrid tried to contain her laugh and thankfully she did succeed. Olivia blushed. "Umm thanks." She said.  "Tuffnut wanted to ask you something, by the way." Astrid said. "Umm yeah, I did." Tuffnut said, glaring at Astrid. "Are you free tonight? I thought we could grab dinner or something." Tuffnut said. "As in date?" Olive asked. "If you put in that way, yeah. It's okay if you don't want. No pressure." Tuffnut said. "I'd love to, but I'm working late." Olive said. "It's okay. I can cover it up to you." Astrid said. "I'll already be staying tonight, so it's fine." "Also, since Astrid got herself a boyfriend, you could repay her in the future." Ruffnut said. "Ruff?" Astrid said. Ruffnut hummed. "Shut up or I'll make sure your fiancé never sees you in your wedding dress." Astrid said. "Shutting up." Ruffnut said. "Then okay. I'll see you later and thanks Astrid." Olive said. "Anytime." Astrid said.
