"Ahh finally everything is done. Our sweet home." Astrid said, looking at Zephyr. "Go, check your room." Zephyr smiled at her and ran to the room. She heard the door bell ringing, so she went to answer it. As she opened the door, a pair of arms was wrapped around her. "Ruffnut?" Astrid said. "Heather is not coming to the wedding." Ruffnut said. "W-Why?" Astrid asked, closing the door behind Ruffnut and led her to the living room. As they sat, "She asked if you coming and all. When I said yes, she said she isn't." Ruffnut said. "All I wanted is to have my friends around me in this day." "Can you watch Zephyr until I come back?" Astrid asked. Ruffnut nodded in confusion. "Good, I'll be back." She picked her phone and keys. As she opened the door, she saw Hiccup ready to knock. "Hi." Hiccup said. Ugh, she just remembered that he was coming over to see Zephyr. "You know where is Heather's house?" Astrid asked. "Yeah, why?" Hiccup asked. "You're driving." Astrid said and wrapped her hand around his wrist and pulled him out, closing the door behind her. "You realize I'm supposed to meet up with my daughter right now?" Hiccup asked. "Yes and I'm sorry, but can you wait for another half an hour? I have to talk to Heather." Astrid said. Hiccup sighed. "Come on. Get in the car." He said. They got in the car and did their seatbelts. "What's wrong? You don't usually go like this. Angry, I mean." Hiccup said, as he started the driving. "Heather is making everything about her. Again. I get it she's mad at me and I don't expect her to forgive me, but she isn't coming to Ruffnut's wedding because I'll be there. She's being narcissistic and selfish. This isn't about me and her. It's about Ruffnut and I'll try to talk some sense into her." Astrid said and sighed. "Sorry, I'm rambling, aren't I?" "It's fine. Rambling always helps you not to murder someone." Hiccup said and smiled. "Yeah, I guess." Astrid said. "Talk to me about something else. I need to get my mind off." "Uh like what?" Hiccup asked. "I don't know, anything." Astrid said, throwing hands up in the air. "Well, I'm pretty much the same as high school me, except getting a degree in architecture and getting a job. Also becoming a father." Hiccup said and shrugged. "We're almost there." Astrid took a deep breath. Hiccup stopped the car. "This is her house. Also try not to kill her."  He said. "No promises." Astrid said, unbuckling her seatbelt. Astrid walked to the door. She took a deep breath and rang the bell. She tapped her foot on the ground until Heather opened the door. "What are you doing here?" Heather asked. "I'm here to talk." Astrid said, already feeling her palms getting sweaty. "'bout Ruff." Heather opened the door wider, so Astrid could get in. "Ruffnut wants you to come the wedding." Astrid said. "And I told her I won't be coming." Heather said and closed the door as Astrid got in. "Is it because I'll be there?" Astrid asked. Heather looked away and folded her arms. "Heather, please I know what I did and I'm sorry. I don't expect you to forgive me, but this time it's Ruff. Not you or me." Astrid said. "Let's put everything between us and be there for Ruffnut." "Look, Astrid. Seeing you suck and I can't put a fake smile just like you. So, if you're done, the door is behind you." Heather said. Astrid opened the door and stepped out and slammed the door behind her. She saw Hiccup standing by the car with his arms folded. Astrid was already breathing heavily and walked to him. "How'd it go?" Hiccup asked. Astrid shook her head. "Not to make things awkward between us more than it already is, but I could really use a hug." Astrid said, with her voice breaking. "Hey. C'mere" Hiccup said, opening his arm. Astrid wrapped her arms around his neck and stood on her tiptoes. Hiccup rubbed her back gently. "I've trying hard since I came back, but I guess I lost her for good." Astrid said. "Hey, give her sometime and she'll come around. I promise you." Hiccup said and broke the hug. "Come on. Get in the car." Hiccup said. They got in the car and drove away. "Uh Hiccup? This isn't the way to the house." Astrid said. "I know. I thought you could use coffee, maybe." Hiccup said and shrugged. "Is it a way to ask me on a date?" Astrid asked, immediately regretting it. "You wish." Hiccup scoffed with a smile. Astrid chuckled, relieved. "Since there is ten more minutes for the half an hour to finish, okay." Astrid said and smiled. They took their coffees and headed back. "Ready?" Astrid asked, as she unlocked the door. "What do I say? Hi Zephyr. I'm your father. No, that's lame." Hiccup said. "I don't what to say." "Hiccup." Astrid called, and Hiccup realized she was looking behind him. "Please tell me she isn't behind me.." Hiccup said. "Mom, can I to go to the backyard?" Zephyr asked, with a frown in her face. "Yeah, sure baby." Astrid said. Zephyr looked at Hiccup and walked by and went outside. "I completely blew it off, didn't I?"
