"Was that the last box?" I said as the moving truck proceeded to drive away.

"Yeah, last box.." Emma's eyes were fixed on our old house.

I looked up and thought about all the old memories. I thought about mom.

"Girls!" Someone said from behind us.

I turned and saw our neighbor. She approached us with two brown bags.

"Hello Mrs. Monroe." I smiled.

"I made you ladies some sack lunches for your trip. This ones for you and this one is for you." She smiled widely while handing us the lunches.

"Thank you so much, Mrs. Monroe." Emma unzipped her backpack to place her lunch inside.

"Julius said you guys were leaving at around this time and I just had to say goodbye." Her voice trembled.

"Oh absolutely not. No tears Mrs. Monroe." I hugged her tightly.

"You girls are leaving me. Getting rid of this old rag for good." She cried into my shoulder.

"Old rag? Mrs. Monroe you are the sexiest 50 year old woman I have ever met." Emma nodded and Mrs. Monroe chuckled.

"Plus, we aren't leaving for good. We will come back and visit, I promise." I held her teary face.

"Oh, come here!" She pulled both of us in for a hug.

"I'm gonna miss you girls so much." She sniffled.

"We're gonna miss you more." Emma said.

When she let go, she stared at both of us.

"You two are so beautiful, such talented young girls. You have such a bright future ahead of yourselves. I am so proud of both of you." She wiped her tears.

"Thank you for being there when no one else would, Mrs. Monroe. You don't understand how much you've helped me." My voice cracked.

"Nope nope, you are not allowed to cry missy. I did the crying for all three of us." Mrs. Monroe rubbed my arm.

A black truck pulled up behind us honking loudly.

"Oh Jesus" Mrs. Monroe placed her hands on her hips.

Me and Emma laughed.

When the truck parked, a tall handsome boy with beautiful blue eyes, stepped out in a Chick-Fil-A uniform.

"Ladies!" He smiled.

"Was that really necessarily Julius? Are you trying to upset the neighbors? You know how grumpy Mr. Bennet has been lately." Mrs. Monroe made her angry face.

"Calm down, Ma. It wasn't even that loud." He winked at me.

"Your gonna be the death of me, kid." She shook her head.

"I love you too, Ma" Julius hugged Mrs. Monroe.

"How was work Julius?" Emma asked.

"It wasn't so busy, actually . No customer complains today." He smirked and Mrs. Monroe sighed.

"How was your last day of school Emma?" He crossed his arms.

"Sad. I'm gonna miss my friends." She looked down.

"We will come back to visit, Em. This isn't goodbye forever." I rubbed her back.

"No it is not Ms. Taylor." He grinned.

"It's getting late girls. You don't wanna miss your flight." Mrs. Monroe looked down at her watch.

"You ready?" Julius arched his eyebrow.

"I'm ready."
