Chapter 8- Unforgivable

SAM'S P.O.V.

I'm escorted to my jail cell.

"Just don't do anything stupid, alright?", Tim says.

I just roll my eyes.

Tim puts Lux inside my cell as well, and then he closes the cell door, locking it.

Lux growls at me.

"So, about what happened back there.", I say nervously.

Lux narrows his eyes at me.

"I was, uh, just joking about not caring about you.", I say.

But both of us know I'm lying.

Lux takes a step towards me.

"N- now hold on a second Lux!", I say, starting to panic.

Lux takes another step towards me.

'Shit! I've gotta do something fast, or he's gonna kill me!', I think.

I reach into my back pocket, and pull out Lux's Pokeball.

Lux's eyes widen as he realizes that I'm about to put him back in his Pokeball.

Lux lunges at me, and I press the button on the Pokeball.

Lux gets sucked back inside the Pokeball, and I sigh in relief.

I look at Lux's Pokeball, and frown.

I slam the Pokeball against the floor, and I stomp on it.

I gasp as I realize what I just did.

When a Pokeball is destroyed with a Pokemon inside of it, that Pokemon dies.

I just killed Lux.

I hear a noise come from in front of me.

I look up.

It's James, and he's staring at me in shock.

"You're a monster Sam. What you just did is unforgivable! I hope you rot in prison.", James says.

He walks away, leaving me alone to process the horrible thing I just did to Lux.

I keep blinking, hoping that I'll somehow wake up from this awful dream.

But sadly, this isn't a dream.

This is a nightmare that's real, and that just makes it even worse.
