Chapter 19- A Memory From Long Ago

JAMES' P.O.V.

As I lay in my bed, Hope snuggled up next to me as she sleeps peacefully, a memory from years ago, suddenly surfaces.

Twelve Years Ago...

I was playing with my toys in the backyard, when I heard a tree branch from within the forest, snap.

I looked up, and saw this very large, and tall, deer with rainbow antlers, standing there.

I stared at it, mesmerized by it's rainbow antlers.

It's antlers suddenly glowed, and a bright flash blinded me for a few seconds.

I rubbed my stinging eyes, and blinked a few times, as my vision returned to normal.

I looked back to the spot where the deer was standing, but it was no longer there.

I looked around, but I couldn't find the deer anywhere.

Afterwards, I felt this energy fill me, like as if I'd suddenly had a sugar rush.

I never saw that deer again.

I now know what Pokemon it was that I saw that day.

A Legendary Pokemon, named Xerneas.

According to the legends, if you simply see this Pokemon, it gives you everlasting life.

I think that's why I had suddenly felt that sugar rush energy, because I'd been given that gift of everlasting life.

But I wanna live to be very old, not live forever.

I feel like this is also a reason for why I survived Lux's attack.

But, I really wish Ash wouldn't have died.

He was my only friend that I grew up with.

I considered Ash like my brother, and the same went for him.

'I have to stop Discord. I have to. For Ash, and for Lux.', I think.
