Rory finished the rest of the day focusing on her work and doing everything in her power to not think about Logan and the bubbly little blonde he was going to marry. Katie was nice and she felt bad for thinking poorly of her just out of her own jealously. Just then Rory got a notification on her phone:
'Come out 2nite. We are going to the Club. Bring ur sexy man with you' – Steph
Rory shot back a text 'not 2nite. Its been a crazy day at work'
'Fine. But if u change ur mind text me!' – Steph
'Have fun & don't do anything I wouldn't do' – Rory
'Sooooo that means I can do everything 😊' – Steph
'lol I guess so' – Rory
With that settled and a night out avoided Rory made her way back to her apartment. When she arrived, Jake was waiting at her door. "What are you doing here handsome?"
"I wanted to see you. Isn't that a good enough reason"
"It's a very good reason. Come in"
Jake walked in and closed the door behind him. Rory walked over and kissed him softly on the lips. He responded in kind and the kiss grew deeper and more passionate. Rory walked backwards towards her bedroom, her lips and tongue still exploring Jake's mouth. He followed her eagerly and they fell on to the bed undressing each other with fervor. Jake looked at Rory, "You are incredible. I love you."
Rory kissed him harder and before long he was inside her and she let her thoughts from the day slip away as he pushed her closer and closer to edge with each thrust.
The next morning Rory felt like shit. All she wanted was to be alone. Jake woke up and told her he hated to run but he had to get downtown by 8AM. She kissed him goodbye and made her way to the bathroom. As she stepped in to the shower Rory couldn't help but think about last night. She loved Jake but when he said he loved her she couldn't find the words to say it back to him. She just kissed him to distract him from the fact that she had not reciprocated his feelings.
"What the hell is wrong with me? I have this amazing man who loves me and I can't stop thinking about a man that is marrying someone else."
She made her way to work and was busy every day that week. Much too busy to think about Logan. It would be ok. She could handle this, she had handled far worse when they had broken up. It was not a big deal. She had Jake. She loved Jake and hell, maybe she would end up marrying Jake.
