Part 7: Fan girls are the worst

Mazikeen's POV:
I went on my usual morning run past the Great Lake when I saw Viktor sitting on the dock and a group of girls standing in my only path. I hate those bloody fan girls. I overheard some of them talking "Thats the girl I was telling you about. I saw Viktor kiss her hand. He clearly has some interest in her." The girl beside her gasped "What does she have that we don't? She isn't even that pretty" Another girl in the group chimed in "I saw her during his run and he smiled at her. I would kill for him to smile at me." I felt my eye start twitching. These damn fan girls.

The scars on my palms started to hurt. I looked down to see my hands bleeding a little from where I was digging my nails into my hands. I didn't realize I was even doing it. I turned to see Viktor looking at me. I could see he heard what those girls said. I turned the other way and started to head back to the castle when I felt someone grab my hand. It was Viktor. "I'm sorry for what they were saying. I could see it made you upset." I shook my head "It isn't your fault Viktor. Those fan girls are crazy" he laughed a little "You can say that again. I have turned down each and every one of them when they asked me to the Yule ball." I smiled slightly "Oh? Waiting for someone special?" He nodded "Yeah guess you could say that. I've been trying to talk to her alone but it anyways seems like she's with someone. Plus I think she's dating someone. She's always talking with this one boy." I nodded "Well do you fancy her?" He nodded "Yes very much. She's amazing really and extremely beautiful." I smiled "Well I suggest you go and ask her" He smiled and nodded. I saw the girls glaring at me and watching as we talked. He smiled "Hey quick question. Do you have a date to the Yule ball?" I shook my head "No why?" I saw him panic for a second "Oh one of my uh friends were asking. Thanks" he quickly walked away "That was weird" I shrugged and walking to the castle as the girls gasped and I'm pretty sure I heard a few start crying.

I walked into the Gryffindor common room where I saw Andre, Anatole and Cain waiting for me "How did you guys get in here?" I laughed but they all looked serious. "Oh no what did I do now?" Cain sighed "Mom and Dad escaped Azkaban." I looked at them shocked "Oh my-" Andre got up "Maze people are going to start insulting us again. We can't have you punching them." I laughed "Ok that was one time!" They all looked at me "Ok maybe 7 or 8 but that's not the point!" Anatole nodded "Just be careful Maze we don't know it's mom or dad will come here. Me and Andre will be here until the tournament is over. And Cain goes here and you can always write us when we leave. But for now just lay low and don't let people get to you because" he grabbed my hands and pointed to the places where I had dug my nails into palms "we can't have this happening again. I thought you said you were going to stop this" Andre and Cain walked over "Really Maze. Not this again." Cain sighed "Ok well would you rather me punch those dumb fan girls for talking about me" Andre and Anatole nodded "Yeah Krum told us about that before we got here." Andre and Anatole looked at each other "Ok you two out with it. I know that look" Andre smirked "You'll see" I sighed "Ok whatever I'm leaving" I started to walk away "Ok but we aren't done here!" I heard Cain yell "Well I am!" I went to my room to get my stuff for my classes.

During lunch Andre walked over and handed me a note with my name on it. Weird thing was it wasn't his handwriting. "What is this?" I took the note and opened it. "Well read it and find out" he laughed and walked away. I read over the note and smiled.

Dearest Mazikeen,
Please meet me on the dock at 7 pm.

I looked over at Andre and Anatole who were laughing their asses off. I had no idea what Viktor could wanted but I was eager to know.

I walked to the dock at 7 and there was Viktor waiting for me. And of course his fan girls weren't to far but I ignored them. I walked to Viktor with a smile "Hey what's up" he turned around and was holding a black rose "Hey Mazikeen. I decided to take your advise and I would be the luckiest man alive if you would go to the Yule ball with me" I was surprised but nodded "Of course I'll go with you" I heard the fan girls gasp and start crying. It was the funniest thing ever. Viktor smiled and handed me the rose "I'm glad you accepted" he smiled and kissed my hand "I surprised your brothers didn't tell you. I asked them if I could take you considering we're friends and I didn't know if they would be mad if I asked you" I laughed "I'm glad you did because my brothers are crazy" Viktor nodded "You can say that again"
