Part 17: Goodbye for now

Mazikeen's POV:
Viktor had to leave for a little while to talk with Igor which left me alone in the common room until the end of the ceremony for Cain. I watched as Harry, Hermione, Ron, Fred, George, Neville, and Oliver all walked in and looked at me. "Hey Maze" Neville waved a little and they all sat down around me as I looked at the ring Cain gave me "Cain told me I could give him his ring back once he came out of the maze and brought home the win for Hogwarts...." They all looked at me and sighed "Maze Vol-" I looked at Harry "I know. I believe what you saw was real. My parents probably knew this was going to happen." Harry nodded "I told Sirius. He wants to know if you would like to go to his house over the break" I nodded "Yeah I'll go...it's not like I have any other place to go" Harry nodded "I'll make sure to tell him" I got up "Dumbledore wants me to clean Cain's stuff out of his dorm room. I have to go" I walked out and headed to the Slytherin common room where professor Snape was waiting. He let me in and lead me to the boys dorms. "Take your time" I watched as he walked out.

I opened his trunk and started to put stuff that was on one of the nightstands in there. I heard a few boys walked in which turned out to be Draco Malfoy and his goons. "Why is there a blood trader in here" I turned around while holding Cain's jersey "Now is not the time Malfoy" I spat. Draco laughed and walked away I didn't know what it was about that boy but I hated him. I found Cain's prefect pin and quidditch uniform which almost broke me. I couldn't believe Cain was gone. He didn't deserve this.

After getting Cain's stuff together I walked back to my dorm and put it by my trunk. I walked outside to meet with Viktor before he had to leave. I walked to the dock with him and smiled "Hey" Viktor smiled and hugged me "Hey Maze" I sighed "I don't want you to leave" Viktor nodded "I know but I have to. I promise I'll write and I'll visit soon" I sighed "I know but I just wish you could stay" I sighed and Viktor nodded "I'll visit during the summer ok?" I nodded and watched him walk onto the Durmstrang ship. I wanted to cry when I saw the ship disappear into the water. It was hard watching 2 of the most important people in my life leave me in the same week except I knew I could at least see Viktor again during the summer. I had already said my goodbyes to my brothers earlier on so I would have more time with Viktor so I didn't get to see them walk onto the ship.

With Christmas break a few days away I knew I would be seeing my father again. I wanted to get to know him better after finding out he was my actual father. Sirius told me that the Weasley's, Hermione, Harry, and a few others would be there when I arrived. I was happy that I would at least know a few people there.

As I packed I started to wonder if anyone would be coming to get me when I get off the train. Sirius told me where to go but I guess I would have to see if anyone would be waiting for me. I just hoped someone would be there to get me.
