I think I wrote this cause I was struggling to write the next chapter of 'A Prince's trust' might scrap what I've written so far on that and start again 🙈 I'm so sorry for the delay 🥺

Also... what do we think for a new Profile pic above ^^ 🤔 yay or nay?

Anyway so:

Italic dialogue - is wolves talking through their mind links

Bold dialogue - is Ant's alpha voice.

Enjoy.....

"Anth! Help! Help! There's too many of them! Arghhh!! Help meeeeeee!!!"

I chuckled and rolled my eyes at my over dramatic mate, who was constantly calling through our mind link.

"You've got one job deckie. I'm almost done just keep trying." I called out, not taking my eyes off where i was busy carefully hammering nails into the corners of the pups new play den.

I'd been working on this project for the past couple of weeks and was only just getting close to finishing it. I'd even had to trek back to my old hut to grab my tools and then cut down the trees for wood myself. I'd recruited Eamonn to help but he was pretty useless. Just like Declan, the guy had been brought up in their closed off wolf community who didn't do any DIY.

Basically the guy couldn't tell a spanner from a screwdriver so I was on my own with this.

How did I end up building our already spoilt pups a giant play castle for their nursery i hear you ask?

The short answer: Declan. The crazy wolf had nagged me day and night, telling me about how cute it would be and how much the kids would love having their own play area. This is what I get for taking him through a human park for the first time on one of our days out. He loved the climbing frame more than the flower garden I was taking him to.

"Ahhhh Anth! I can't hold them off much longer!"

I laughed again at his adorable squeaks and the wolfish whines and growls coming from behind me.

I placed down my tools and stood up, brushing off all the dirt and saw dust from my shorts before turning to look at where Declan was supposed to be putting the pups to sleep.

I had to laugh at the giant sandy-brown wolf sprawled out on his side with his paws taking swipes at the 30 odd pups who were yapping and jumping onto him in a mass attack.

He wasn't winning the battle and I failed to hide my amused grin as I watched my powerful Luna get beaten up by these tiny wolf pups, a few of whom hadn't even started teething yet.

"Anttthhhhh! Don't laugh! You need to save me!" He called again through our mind link.

I chuckled and shook my head but knew if I left him any longer I'd be in big trouble tonight.

Cracking out the kinks in my back, slowly I pulled myself to my full height and shifted onto four large paws. The effect of my jet black wolf's presence was instant, all the small wolves ran whimpering and tucked themselves behind Declan as a big shield.

It was amusing, watching a long row of big puppy eyes peeking up over Declan's shimmering brown fur with their ears flattening to the back of their heads.

The only fearless little minx that still wasn't scared of me, was our Junior, the white coated omega who seemed to not even have noticed me. He was stood tall on Dec's shoulder, growling and hissing as he kept his teeth latched onto the full grown canines ear, tugging and pulling with the most strength his tiny little body could muster. Cause it had been a little over a year since we'd adopted this pup, he'd grown a tad but not a lot.... we had a feeling he was just a late bloomer and because of his omega genes it would take him longer to shift.
