♫ safety net

- ariana grande ft. ty dolla $ign

"tripping, falling, with no safety net. Is it real this time or is it in my head?"

"This proves it then. Fred Weasley, you're a bad influence," Priscilla said with a shrug.

Fred leaned down to her level. "You forget why we were at the docks in the first place, love."

"I have no idea what you're talking about," she replied, a smile finally breaking through. She missed joking with him like this.

Filch opened the door to the detention chamber and pushed the two inside with a shove. Pansy and Draco were standing behind him, smiling with triumph. "Give me yer wands," he snarled. Priscilla gave hers over with a smile, whereas Fred was a little more hesitant, but eventually gave his up. "You're to stay in there with no light, no food, no water for the night. Gets cold, too."

"What?!" Priscilla shouted. "Dumbledore would never allow this!"

"Dumbledore's never gonna know, Roberts," Draco replied. Filch shut the door and locked it with a great, maniacal laugh. The last thing Priscilla and Fred could see was Pansy waving goodbye.

"This is inhumane, you bastards!" she yelled, banging on the door.

"Cilla," Fred said, grabbing her arms. "It'll just make it worse."

She spun to look at him, eyes full of anger. "Has he ever made you or George do this before?"

Fred shook his head.

"I guarantee you Malfoy's dad has something to do with this, those assholes," she spat.

The detention chamber was a 250 square foot room. The cobblestone floor had moss growing in between it, and the air had a dank funk to it that Cilla didn't want to define. When she cast the same charm from the boathouse, lighting the room up with faint twinkles of light, the atmosphere only got worse. There was a pile of browned bones sitting in a messy pile in the corner, making the two jump back in disgust.

"We have to do something. You're right, this is mad," Fred suggested.

"Makes you wish we had a joint on us, huh?" Priscilla joked, running her hands through her hair in frustration. Then, she narrowed her eyes at the door. She moved in front of it, Fred watching her in confusion as she did. "I think... I might be able to open the door."

Fred chuckled. "Meek chances for an alohomora to work on that, love. Probably has a ton of protective spells on it."

She shook her head, determined and stubborn as usual. "I think I can do it, stand back-"
