Obi x Reader: Apple Tree

-2nd POV-

You were on your way to meet up with some mercenaries. Apparently, they got a girl with red hair, and a young boy that they said looked like a doll, along with another pretty woman. You were hired as a backup since you were an outstanding fighter. In other words, you were for hire and you had a policy of 'No assassinations' which made people think you were weak.

They weren't stupid enough to confront you though. You got this job after your friend disappeared. At this point, you thought he was dead. You never got over it because you were in love with him. He used to say that he'd meet you under your favorite apple tree. You never thought he'd be the type to break his promise.

In the end, you came to think all people were like that so you never became close to anyone again. It was better to alone than having a liability, in your life a liability can get you killed.

-Your POV-

The ship reached port and they led the prisoners out. I never thought I'd see a person with red hair like hers. "Now time to see who I'll sell you off too." Just as she finished she was warned they were followed. There was a royal ship coming in and it crashed against my employer's ship.

I turn around to the blonde woman's voice, "You two, run inside." Umihebi caught the red-haired girl with a chain. Catching the attention of the blonde woman again. She went to help, but a man lunged at her with a sword. A man screamed her name throwing her sword and struck him in the stomach.

Another was about to lunge at her, but a green-haired man jumped and kicked him in the face. Just how did they find this place? A man with white hair appeared and he looked ticked off. The red-haired girl bit Umihebi's arm causing her to smack the red-haired to the ground.

She was about to take a swing with her hook until an arrow was shot at her. Another guy jumped down to protect her, "Obi?" No way, could it be, Obi's still alive after all. He told them to get out of there and they did.

I can't say I wasn't happy to see him. But, if I turned away I'd end up dead. "My, my Obi. You've changed a bit from the last time I saw you 10 years ago. I thought you were dead."

He looked at me and his eyes widened, "(Y/N)?" Umihebi lunged at him and he fought her back. Another man was going to help, but a red-haired man showed up and punched him in the face teasing her.

She was mad and we realized we were surrounded. The Lions of the Mountain, It just had to be them. How many people do these 2 know? Umihebi was flustered that never ended well, I should know I was part of her crew and she's my current employer. "(Y/N) take care of them."

I may be a skilled fighter, but I know when I'm outnumbered. "Umihebi, this is ridiculous. We're outnumbered." She tried to hit me with her hook and ended up cutting deep into my face kind of like the red-haired girl.

We were taken off guard and I ran. They would probably hang me or something for this so I just ran. I was in the woods for a couple of hours before I realized I was lost. With no food or a roof, besides my cut was deep without stitches it'll catch an infection and I'm done for.

I walked a little further only to find an apple tree. Perfect timing I find out Obi's alive now an apple tree. Life just won't leave me alone this time. I sat against it and found something in my belt to at least, patch the cut on my face.

"Shirayuki can help you with that. She's a great herbalist." I looked to my left only to find Obi there and get a little defensive. He notices, "I'm not going to hurt you. How could I, (Y/N)?"

He started walking closer and I felt a little uneasy and a little relieved. He held my hands making me drop my knife. He hugged me and my tears were finally let loose. "I thought you were dead. 10 years and I never heard from you or of you. You idiot where were you for so long?"

He pulled you away and stared at you for a bit. You tilted your head confused and he leaned in and kissed you, you were surprised. You slowly gave in and kissed back as he held on to your face and your hands were on his chest. He pulled you back when you both needed air. "I'm sorry, for everything." He looked down at the ground.

You smiled a bit and kissed him and he kissed back. "I forgive you. But, your still an idiot."

He processed for a minute and started chuckling, "I know. I love you though."

Your eyes softened, "I love you too, idiot."

He snickered, "Can you stop calling me that?" You should your head no and he started pouting. He offered you a hand. "I can take you to Clariness, I came with the prince so I can ask if he'll let you stay."

I got up and jerked my hand away. He asked me what was wrong. "I can't go. I was a part of that I was hired to guard them for buyers. I did so many terrible things before that I can't ask for a chance from you or the Prince."

He sighed, he did understand your view, "The girl with red hair you captured, her name is Shirayuki. The Prince fancies her and she fancies him. I shot an arrow at her and the Prince let me be her bodyguard. What makes you think he won't forgive you?"

I looked at him, "I don't know."

"Please, after all, I kept my promise. I told you I'd meet you again under an apple tree." I noticed we were under the tree and blushed slightly. He gave me his hand, "Come with me."

I slowly went to hold his hand until I finally did. "Ok, I'll go with you." He smiled and pulled me to him for a hug which I appreciated and needed.

"Hey, Lovebirds. Let's go Zen is waiting for both of you to come back already." I heard a voice behind him as Obi just sighed. It was the same man with green hair from before.

He shouted back, "Ok, Mitsuhide, we're coming. Every time. Let's go wouldn't want the Master to get mad." I was so confused, but I went along.

He dragged me back, "Obi, slow down you know I can't run that fast."

We stopped, "Jeez, you haven't changed a bit." I said the same, but annoyed. "Guys, this is (Y/N). (Y/N), this is Prince Zen, Kiki, Mitsuhide, and Shirayuki." I waved nervously. The prince started walking up to me.

"Welcome, (Y/N)." He stuck his hand out and I was surprised. I took it hesitantly and shook it. I looked over to Obi grinning like an idiot. I guess apple trees do help keep promises.
