-2nd POV-

It was another day of trying to kill Kuro-Sensei. That octopus was hard to kill. Thankfully, we have Nagisa. He writes down every weakness he has. Unlike most, I knew Nagisa was a boy the second I saw him. He was so shocked when I said it was obvious since everyone thought he was a girl.

I found it cute how he reacted. We've been good friends since our first year. I did start developing feelings for him as we got older and I think Kuro-Sensei is catching on. That would be bad, he's nosey and he'll most likely try to do something.

The last thing I need is a yellow octopus that can talk helping me with a crush. He's a good teacher, but my love life is a big no-no. He doesn't talk about his I won't talk about mine.

I didn't feel like going to class so I skipped. I went close to the river since it's my calm spot. Only Nagisa and Kuro-Sensei know about it. I stopped since I didn't want to be bothered and went to another place.

It was a cave close to school. No one knew about that spot. It was relaxing and I liked being alone sometimes. I ended up asleep. I woke up and I saw Nagisa, "(Y/N), wake up."

I rubbed my eyes and looked around processing. "Nagisa? How did you know I was here?"

He tilted his head, "I've seen you come here before. I figured you would be here since you weren't at the river."

I stretched and yawned still sleepy. "What do you need?"

He chuckled awkwardly, "I was wondering if you would help me with target practice. You are one of the best sharpshooters in the class."

I blinked a couple of times. Why did Nagisa of all people want to learn to shoot? It made no sense. He had a natural talent for being stealthy. "Okay." I agreed anyway. "I'm so sleepy."

He turned back to me and chuckled, "I don't know how you slept like a rock." I blushed a little hiding my face. Was he teasing me?

He stopped at an open spot with targets on random spots. I understood why that octopus moves in random directions. "Alright, let's get to it."

I showed him the basics like aiming, how a gun works, and other stuff. He picked up so slow he could barely hit the targets and it was frustrating. But, it was fun spending time with him. He was cute when he pouted.

It was Friday so Karma and I went to see a movie. We always had movie nights on Fridays. Family tradition. He's my older cousin sadly and thankfully. He's annoying but overprotective and helpful.

Nagisa texted me.

Blueberry 🔵: Are we training today?

Me: Sorry, it's a Friday. Movie night with Karma

Blueberry 🔵: Okay.

I felt bad. I liked spending time with him and I was stuck with Karma instead. I hate my life right now. "What's wrong?"

I turned to see Karma, "Had to cancel on shooting practice with Nagisa. I feel bad for ditching him."

Karma took the candy I was eating. I shouted at him and he looked at me. "Go. No questions just go."

I did as he asked me to, but I have never been more confused in my life. Wait, was he setting me up with Nagisa!? So going to ask later.

I ran over to our spot and Nagisa was hitting every target perfectly. He sucked yesterday what happened? "Nagisa?"

He flinched and nearly dropped the gun. "Hi, (Y/N). I thought you had movie night with Karma today." He smiled awkwardly.

I blinked a couple of times. "When did you get so good at shooting?"

He scratched the back of his neck slightly in embarrassment. "Uh, truth is Chiba had already taught me how to shoot."

I froze, "Was this before or after you asked me to teach you?"

"Before." He admitted.

"Why did you ask me then? Or faked you sucked?" I asked unbelievably confused.

"I just wanted some alone time with you. It was the only excuse I could think of." He muttered found enough for me to hear. He was red.

"Why did you need to fake? If you had just asked me out I would've said yes." I told him.

We both realized what I said and turned 50 shades of red. I meant something else and it came out like that. I felt like an idiot. "Well... Will you go out with me then?"

I froze and could barely process what he just said. "Huh?"

"You said you'd say yes. I really like you alright." He admitted.

I lowered my head slightly, "Yes."

He looked at me surprised and happy with a small smile. "Can I walk you home?" I nodded and he grabbed my hand walking out of the woods. I was blushing like crazy and so was he and I slowly moved my fingers to intertwine with his. "So... You want to be my girlfriend?" I nodded. He grinned.

I guess target practice wasn't a bad idea.
