"Welcome to Asgard, spiderling!"

Peter looks around in awe seeing the the beautiful lands, his whole life he thought Asgard was just a silly myth and now he was here, in the flesh with two gods.

"It's beautiful, Mr Thor!" The god grabbed the spider by the shoulder and signalled for Loki to follow him. They all walked inside the huge castle, bigger than his own billionaire dad's tower. Servants with golden plates and cups walked passed them with no problem even with the stacks of cutlery they held, large chandeliers glistened in the sun rays coming from the beautiful stain windows which each told a story.

Thor chuckled at Peter's excitement and led the two both to the gardens, probably the young boy's most favourite part of the trip. As Thor rambled on about how expensive it was to build everything, Loki grabbed Peter's hand and took him to a quiet, serene spot in the garden.

It was a dark wooden gazebo surrounded by dark purple flowers, it was a shady area underneath all the trees but the light still shone on the nearby river making it even more beautiful. "This used to be my favourite place in Asgard."

They sat down inside the gazebo, and he pulls Peter slightly closer to him. "What do you mean used to?" the brunette questions him, and the look in his eyes soon turn dark and cold. He looks away from him before taking a deep breath, "It was my favourite place, until mother.."

Peter see him close his eyes and slightly curl up into himself. It was the most vulnerable he'd ever seen the god, his hard exterior always staying consistent.

"I know what it feels like, to have someone so close to you be taken away. When aunt May left me, I thought that all I needed was to be alone, but the avengers made me realise that that was far from what I actually needed."

Loki opened his eyes, letting out a sigh of relief, almost content - anybody could tell he felt more comfortable with the boy that he had with anyone else, including his own brother.

Loki was never open to talk about experiences with his mother, but this boy, his doe eyes, cute fluffy hair, pink blush on his cheeks and nose. This boy had an effect on him, so much love and trust in his eyes, urging on the god to open up even more.

"After she left, it always felt like I had nobody else to turn to. My father was never that fond of me, he adored my older brother and his stupid antics. I was more of a struggle in his life, the god of mischief, what will he do next?" He chuckles at his own words and continues.

"My brother, well, he was just there - he would never say anything to put me down, but only Odin will know how truly embarrassed he was to have a brother like me. I guess I was just destined to be the outcast in such a perfect world, sweet one."

To say Peter was truly shocked at the man's words was an understatement, how could someone as perfect and kind-hearted as him ever be so self-deprecating?

Mistakes were made in the past by the god, but one with wise eyes could easily tell Loki longed for forgiveness even though he was never quick to admit it.

The past was long gone in Peter's eyes, all he saw now was a vulnerable boy in need for comfort. So that's exactly what he did.

"Really? Is this what you really think of yourself? My god, you really have got it wrong. I know all you want anyone to see is that rude, demanding god who hates anyone but his brother but I see past that. Your true intentions are so beautiful, you are beautiful. Please, don't ever doubt that, please."

He turned to the god of mischief, and was surprised to see tears threatening to fall from his eyes, one slipped down his pale cheek and Peter caught it with his finger, rubbing it off with pure adoration in his eyes.

"You are the best of us, sweet one, Midgard will soon come to realise how precious you really are." Peter blushed at his words and snuggled up to Loki's side, getting comfortable.

His eyes threatened to fall shut, as did the god's, and they talked for a while, not willing to give that special moment up so quickly. But soon, the two boys fell asleep in each others arms, a smile on both their faces.

And an even bigger smile on a certain god of thunder who found them hours later.
