"Good thing Mihara didn't bother us again." She said while sighing. They were about to cross a pedestrian lane but the traffic lights turned red. Shinobu was walking behind Tomioka so when he stopped her face hit his long hair.
"Jeez." She pushed him. "You should cut your hair, so you'll look more handsome." She said while poking his back. "Do you think i look handsome?" He turned around and walked closer to her and teased her. "W-What?" She said while while slowly moving back.
"Nevermind." He said while walking across the pedestrian lane.

1 month has passed since they met and it was Valentine's Day. Since they were best friends of course they needed to get something for each other. Tomioka went to Shinobu's apartment. He ringed the doorbell and Kanae opened the door.
"Ara? What brings you here Tomioka?" Kanae asked. "U-Uh. I was wondering if you know what things Shinobu likes." He asked while his ears slowly heats up. "Oh! i forgot it's valentine's day today right! you're trying to get something for her!" Kanae giggled. He covered his mouth trying to show that Shinobu might hear them.
"Shinobu is not here, But here are the things she likes, Butterflies and um... You!" She said while laughing. His ears and cheeks turned red and he went outside and closed the door.

He bought something for her and also prepared a little surprise, the gift that he bought was in a cute little box with a butterfly design. Meanwhile, Shinobu was at the mall also buying him something.
"I wonder if she'll like this... Oh well i'll just let fate do the decision." He said while walking to school. he waited at the school entrance for her but girls were already circling him. Shinobu arrived at the school entrance and she saw Tomioka.
Tomioka also saw her, He immediately went to her and grabbed her hand. "Ara? Where are we going?" She asked. He took her to the laboratory again. there was no one inside. later, he leaned against the wall and gave her the box. "H-Happy Valentines."
"Oh? this was for me?" She said while taking the box, She opened it and saw a gold butterfly ring. "Eh? Isn't this too much?" She said. "If you don't want it, I'll take it back." He said while his ears heated up.
"It's great. Thank you." She said while smiling at him. He got to saw an entirely different side of her. A side that no one else ever saw before. "And, by the way, why did you cut your hair?" She asked. "Didn't you tell me i'll look good if i did?" He answered.
Her cheeks heated up and she gave him the box she was holding. "H-Here, Happy Valentines." She said. He took the box and opened it. They were like couples doing exchange gifts. He opened it and saw a pair of white shoes. "Thanks." He hugged her and she was surprised because she never felt his hug before... it was warm, she felt safe.
it was night and they both can't sleep because of what happened earlier. Shinobu just decided to call him.
*Calls Tomioka*
"Hello?" He answered.
"Hey Tomioka-san." She replied.
"Is something wrong?"
"No, i just can't sleep. and i have some problems." She said.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" He said.
"There's this guy, Douma. the one who stood me up right? He's been standing in our front door for hours saying that we should go on a date. but i think he left now. He makes me uncomfortable." She says.
"Don't worry, i'll stop by there tomorrow morning so i'll make sure he doesn't visit again." he says while yawning.
"Yeah, thanks. i really needed that"
"It must be hard keeping everything to yourself, from now on you can tell me your problems." He said.
She didn't answer because she was startled by what he said.
"Goodnight, See ya tomorrow." He says before he turned off his phone and went to bed.
Meanwhile, Shinobu was left utterly dumbfounded.
"I think i'm falling in love." was the last thing she thought before she went to bed.
